Has anyone ridden the trails at Seminole or can provide any feedback as to is it worth the trip? Is it mainly for sport quads or can utility quads have some fun as well?

Thanks

I saw a few utility quads out their riding 2 weeks ago but I didnt ask them how it was. There face's showed that the trail was real dusty thats all I know.

It's just one long single trail, so no exploring.  It is more of a technical and slow trail I'd say, than a wide fast one.  It also costs $15 for just the trails, $20 for just the tracks, and $25 to do both.

Alright, I was just there on the 30th and I gotta say it's like a nightmare riding through those things, and worse on an RM250.  You need either a bulldozer or a trials bike to make it through some areas, towards the back specifically.  Near the trail entrance, it's kept up nice and is sorta like a tight trail in Ocala.  Not worth the drive at all or the money if you're just riding the trails.  I couldn't even wind out first gear in there.

The seminole trails are GREAT if you race any Hare Scramble races!!!
I race all that I can MX and XC and the seminole track is one of my favorite places to practice, tight woods, some open straights, and some roots and rocks!!!! You just have to ride smart and you will have no problems, I rode 5 consecutive laps and had no flat tires or damage to my YFZ450 so I think it is A fun place to practice Cool

Nice to see someone had something positive to say about the trails, thanks Pledger#76... They advertise the trails are a 5 mile loop, would you say that seems realistic? Also, would trail be ok for utility quad to ride?

Yamaha Kodiak 450 man...

Thanks

Whatever, I must have made a wrong turn into the wild and overgrown part of the loop.

I have a SUZUKI TWIN-PEAKS 700 that I race XC with also and have practiced at the SEMINOLE track with it many times, it is all in how you race the track and race within your limits, and I would say more like 6 or 7 miles I will check it for you on thursday im gonna practice with the 700 and I will set the odometer for the distance.....

The trail is much better than before. It is wider and they cleaned it up some. Very good practice and great workout!!!!

So, let's put this into perspective for those who ride Utes or don't ride the MX tracks or Hare Scrambles. Seminole has one 5-7 mile-long trail which takes all of 20-30 minutes @ 15 mph.

that trail sucks. i was on it and turned around shortly. yokley was ripping on it but he's one of the best. plus you'll need a skinny bike. it's super tight and annoying roots everywhere. i dont know how anyone got through it on a 4x, or would want to. dont waste your 5 bucks, trust me

WAIT DO WASTE YOUR 5 BUCKS ON IT TRUST ME,,, it is one of the best trail loops around and if you are taking 30 minutes to get around it maybe you should get yourself in shape to take the beating that it gives you, I use it for the practice and the training aspect of it and by the way I am 40 years old now and ill be there thursday with my 700 4X4 and my decked out 47" wide YFZ450, sorry that you turned around dudek38 you missed a good ride Roll Eyes, if anyone would like to see how it is done with a 4X4 come on out and I will show you!!!! I think that A 17 minute lap-time is obtainable on my utilty quad, ANY BETTERS OUT THERE ON IT!!!!!

Do the trails go clockwise or counter?  I went in on the right, and I'll tell you that when I got to the back, the trail was extremely overgrown and dead ended, we turned around and hooked up where I guess we shoulda turned left a few minutes before?

DUDEK38, I can see you are not a racer or for that fact even a rider, you must be one of the pavement pounders (if you even own a quad or dirtbike)
I have ridden and raced about everywhere and everything... dirtbikes, quads, drag racing my SUZUKI GSXR1300 HYABUSA in florida, georgia, and the Carolinas, where do you ride or race if at all and what do you ride?Huh?
I see more posts coming in that says they are good trails!!!
sounds to me like you like the fresh graded roads and sod fields or something like that to ride on!!!!!
Matter of fact just took 1st place in my class at the Palatka FTR XC race so I think I know A little more about trails than you Kiss

From what I hear they're not pleasure trails, they're rough, and tight like the GNCC trails are. Race tracks ussualy have trails that are meant to be raced on. If you want pleasure trails you need to go to croom or Ocala.

I liked the course, wasnt TOO tight, but it is a work out. I think everyone who is saying that it is stupid went there because thats all they planned on doing was riding the trails.. but then packed up and went home because they couldnt take the abuse, kind of like half the racers this weekend in palatka.

If you go to croom you are gonna ride sandy whoops all day, I still say no matter what seminole has the best trail loops!!!
SVTBOLT you should have won that race,  they never seem to catch the people who blow double greens, they should have a course worker at every one of the double greens!!!!

dear pledger, it's smart of you to write your accurate words, especially to someone which you have no clue. i almost let your comments go, but it was too hard. by your cocky attitude, im sure you have your number and name on some enclosed trailer of yours.  i'd sure love to show you what pavement pounding is all about.

This is my opinion, and you said yours, it is not A trailer but A 4-door chevy that says PLEDGER MOTORSPORTS all over it cant miss it. No attitude here just stating the facts sorry if it rubs you wrong Kiss

Pledger is right!! They fixed the trail and it is now much better. You can get a great workout and learn much needed technique on that loop. It works for me and I have a extended Raptor. NO problems!!! Love the trail and I have riden, Croom, Ocala, and many other spots out of state!!!
