I have been there before, very difficult riding on sport quads. Skid plates would not be a bad idea. riding like no other thats for sure. If you go with family about an hour away in the town of sylva is a place called wayehutta, locals call it (worry hut) it's pretty awesome too. also about 1/2 hour away in blairsville georgia are beasly knob and davenport mountain orv those are cool too. wayehutta and davenport aren't as rocky...maybe a little more fun for kids, but tellico is a can't miss. be careful, have fun,and bring us back some pics

well...i can't say it would be a mistake. The last time we were there i said the next time i go i would like to have a grizzly..,but only you can make the call.we had 2 400ex's,z-400 a raptor660 and we all made it. If your staying in murphy give it a try if it doesn't work out try the other places. reguardless you will have a blast

Upper Tellico is mostly boulders and rocks. This is not a good place to take a beginner rider. The trails are very technical and that same weekend Toyota Landcruiser Club with 150+ trucks are going to be there. The trails are going to be packed. I am going up there that Friday.Beasley Knob is going to be wet this year and the hills are slick wet Georgia red clay. These trails are going to be very difficult as well and not good for beginners. Davenport is the best place for beginners. It is a big loop but it a lot of fun. Try that first and if they can handle it then try Beasly Knob and then Tellico. I've never ridden Dahlonega but I here it's a good trail . We've been riding the trails up there for the past 4 years with our Banshee's. This year we are going up with a Sportsman 500 with a winch. The georgia forestry department Will send you all the trails maps in the state of georgia.

It's just outside blairsville GA, there are no good photo sites of this trail , the only thing bad about the davenport & beasly knob they will close the trail if to much rain so call before you go.(706)745-6928 or
