For your information, this linked webpage has harsh hanguage, complete liars, and photoshopped pictures Evil

Thinking about scamming someone over the internet, think you wont get caught, think again.

~17 Year old Charlie Wenzel got OWNED!
They found his personal information such as name (obviously), address, immediatly family's names, house phone number, dad's work & work phone number, yearbook and baby pictures, that he has outstanding parking fines, friends names and pictures, and alot of other information.  He scammed someone, and they took revenge.

http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=399203 [Warning: Harsh language, NSFW]
The internet gets back at a scammer... big time. There are no secrets on the internet.

Use this, username: bobbarkarrr -- password: mynameisbob
I suggest reading at least the first 5 pages.  I read 30.

If you're too lazy to read all that, heres a summary:
Quote
Charlie Wenzel had some part pulled out of his truck.
He posted it on that forum for sale, calling it "Bran New" (sic) for $100 plus $15 shipping.
Mike paid for it with a check for $115.
Charlie cashed the check.
Charlie edited his post to say $125 plus shipping and messaged Mike "got your check, but it's short $25.  Please send it" or something along those lines.

Mike tried to deal with him via PMs, Charlie just kept trying to thingy with him.

So Mike took it public, and all hell broke loose.  Charlie kept insisting, rather prickishly, that he'd done nothing wrong, and refused to accomodate Mike.

Over the next 13 pages or so, Charlie's picture, home address, telephone number, weight, height, social security number, place of work (and the place of work's phone number, email address, and fax number), high school, credit history, and the size of his thingy were all made public.  (That last one was probably conjecture, but who knows? They found everything else.)

The point I was talking about on page 13 was where they posted a full frontal picture (clothed, you perverts) of his mom and her life history, including where his parents met and how they hooked up.  His father's info is on there too, including where he works, the phone number, yadda yadda yadda.

The natives are FURIOUS, and they're out for blood.  Hell, the moderator is from some legal firm and he's threatening to pound this guy's ass into oblivion in court. There's some other guy who hasn't said what he does but he dug up everything from his criminal record to his credit history and he's hinting that he has more and will be happy to use it if the situation is not resolved in Mike's favor PRETTY d**n PRONTO.

We have that "no personal threats" policy here... they don't seem to have any analagous policy.  They're being really creative and unrestrained.

Mike has a money order in his posession, but as of page 25 (where I am now) he has yet to be able to find anyone who will cash it.

Enjoy,

rl.

That sucks! I just got scammed tonite and the cops came and got the checks and everything. I was selling my bicycle for $850 and this guy said he was from Nigeria and he was interested and he said that he would send me $2500 for shipping and then for some other stuff he had ordered, then when the checks got here my mom wanted his phone number well number one they were all counterfit, one of the checks they forgot to print the back number two they all said void all over the back of them and number three it was a fake address and everything. So watch out for these guys, the local police are going to try to look into it, is there a website or somethign I can go to to try to find out where this guy really is? If so please PM me

yeah, but he was just out for the money

typical scammer, im sure he regrets it now.  if you read people say they have called his HOUSE and talked to his mom.

I dont think anyone should have been drug into this, expecially his mom.

Also if you read the thread, he was driving his dad's corvette with a buddy of his, they went to a gas station, filled up, and drove off.  Didnt even pay.  They cought up with him, and his daddy had to come help out his little baby and paid the debt.  His dad said he shouldnt have had the car in the first place.
