Top Speed: 55mph+(Est.)

If you take care of the machine it will last you a life time.  But if you beat it up and dont take care of it it wont last you a month.  I seen guys ride them at Sunshine MX and are very fast.  The 250R is a good race bike but I dont like 2-Stroke quads.

he speaketh the truth,,,,there are 250R's that are nearing 20 years old that are still racing,,,,it's all about how you take care of it.

They average about 70 m.p.h. I remember racing cars going down the main road at croom, the cars were on I-75 I could keep right up, those were the good old days!!!

im 5.8 and it was good for me..
but stock supsension sucks nut's...
it is the worst supsension i have ever rode on....
but its a great bike great geomitry and great power...
it will take some getting used to from a 300 ex to this because power is totaly different a 300ex isnt anything compared to a r..
but youll get used to it..
but when looking check the whoel frame for crack's..

i have an 86 been punched  out slightly, i am 5/9 200 lbs and i can pretty much keep up or out run with any bike, they are awesome for racing you just better be able to hold on and enjoy the ride, the only thing i dont like is that you can not put put around all of the time on it not a low end bike unless you gear it way down

dunno what year, but I just took my first ride on a 250R,,,,,,holy crap,,,why oh why did Honda EVER stop making these things?

I'm 5'10" or so and about 285#,,,,,I was very comfortable and was just plain holding on for dear life,,,,and the thing is stock except for a pipe.
