pictures do not do the color justice,,,,bright sun brings out the metal flake in it,,,,I originally wanted to lift it when I ordered it,,,but after looking at it for a few days I decided it was too pretty to lift in the air much, so it stayed.

small story about the truck,,,,after ordering and the dealership I got it from said they only found one in the entire state with the options I wanted,,,,but different color, so I got it anyway.

but anywhoo, the story is that I have researched it down from a friend with FORD in Michigan that out of the 800,000+ F150's that were produced for 2003, there were 18K of the STX edition made.  Out of the 18K STX's, only 122 were made with the regular cab, flareside and, the 5.4L V-8.  Now, narrow that 122 down to the color choices available for the STX edition, and that makes this truck one of 12 trucks out of 800,000+ that were made for that year,,,,,which makes it way more rare than even the Lightning package which is produced at about 4,000 per year.  That is as far as I could research the rarity, but my truck also has the factory installed tow-package, and is an XLT, so who knows how rare it actually is.

am I proud of my truck,,,you betchya.

oh, and Chuck, if you are reading,,,,I was told that the truck came from a big dealership in Jacksonville.

and when it was delivered to the dealership in Orlando,,,,they had three people make cash offers above it's list price for it while it sat waiting for me to pick it up the same day.

Ida, you forgot to add that in addition to the numbers and specs on how rare your truck is it is in fact even more rare.  It doubles as a pool when out camping.  Which makes it a one of a kind. Grin

I wan to make anyboy mad but everyone loves their powerstrokes and big
dodges. But I still see a ton of older toyotas out there on the road.My first
two trucks were fords.Neither made to 100,000 miles before they had to
have some major work done to them.I always wanted a Toy and bought
one in 96.145000 miles and some tires later no problems.Bought my 02
Pre-Runner and now have 186000 miles in less than 4 yrs.3 sets of tires
1 battery and a set of plugs.Oh and by the way my other truck sold it for
6000 bucks without thinking about it.Tell me what kind of truck can you
buy for 15 grand and have it 7 1/2 yrs anid lots of mile and almost retain
half the value.Toyota that's about the only one besides a diesel.4 people
have asked me to let them have first dibs when I get ready to sell this one
when I get ready for a new one Nuff Said

I am a proud Toyota owner I currently have 2 and I have had 4 previous Toyotas. All of them are/have been very reliable. I have also owned 3 Fords in the past(Mustang Cobra,Mustang GT and Ranger 4x4) the Mustangs were great, unfortunately the Ranger was the biggest p.o.s. I have ever owned, except for my first truck, a Chevy LUV. HONK,HONK Grin
