Lots of generators still left in Tampa area. I grew up in Ft.Lauderdale & still have some family there. I wish you all the best. If anyone needs generators, we have some Honda's from 1000 watt up to 7000 watt & Briggs & stratton type 5500's still in stock. 813-677-0326. Riverview, FL, just s.e. of Tampa, right on I-75.

Just got power back in West Broward. Other than that, we were the luckiest family in our community. All we lost was our satellite dish, but, I put one of my spares up the next day and was on generator. For those of you who do not live in Broward County, it's a real mess. There are no street lights hanging, anywhere, and still no gas. Even with the power back on, it's still pandemonium on the streets. Unbelievable amount of debris and neighbors with no roofs on their homes. That was only a Cat 2 that hit, so you can imagine what a 4 or 5 would have done.

What part of sunrise? We just got ours back too, our neighborhood had some serious damage, also in sunrise.

Hell, I live 80 miles north of you Mr & Mrs Logic, and I have no power either... Generators are fine for camping, but I am ready for a hot shower. Cold showers when it's in the 50's every morning suck!

Hey Kawgirl, I've been trying to call you back... There is gas up here in Ft. Pierce. I only had to wait 30 minutes this morning... Glad your work is ok. How about the house? We're fine.. no power, but other than that, no problems at home. My office in pompano is another story.. 3/4 of our roof is destroyed, got power yesterday, but no phones or water still. So I am running the phones and internet from home. Then again, I kind like this work from home gig... The boss can't see me putting that new front differential in the Grizzly!

How did Erins dad make out?
We had no damage to the house or anything else
No power but we have water and phones

We fire up the portable 15,000w'er and heat up the water for the showers
But can't run that thing all the time...it sucks up the gas. We run the small one for everything else
It's so nice out, I'm glad we don't need A/C

Erin's dad was set to start picking in Ft. Pierce next week. They are gonna salvage whatever they can, but about half of the 750 acres is wasted. His brand new farm over in Naples is toast. It was about ready to start picking too. The farm in Broward was just planted, so they think it'll be ok. The other farms in Palm Beach and Ft. Pierce aren't planted yet. Let's just pray for no more storms!

I got my power on Tuesday night out here in royal palm. still alot of folks without. Been taking down shutters and trying to save my gas. Went to Walmart today and got a hot 1/4 w/cheese from McDonalds. Anyone out there want to come over for a cold beer and a hot shower and whatever else I gots, except the old lady,is welcome! I had about 30 barrel tiles fly off my roof. a couple hit my truck. Some others in the hood had more serious problems. I think I was lucky.
again - hot shower, cold beer, bring it!
