Kawasaki's are amazing!! R6s and Kawi's look a lot a like.

Are you set on a 600?  THe ZX-10R is probably my favorite (new) bike right now and MAN what a kick in the ass that bike is! Lighter than most 600s, winds up 1st gear to 103mph, and is all around an amazing machine!

my advice to you is to buy a used bike first (a cheap learner bike) and after you learn, get a new liter bike (1000cc or bigger).  You'll get tired of a 600 real quick once you learn (especially if you ride with guys with bigger bikes).

I am a Sportbike Finatic!  Shocked. If it was my choice, I would go with the ZX6R. Looks better and definately perform better. I own a Hayabusa. I have owned since 2000. Here is a Pic of me opening her up on US27.  Cool She will do 197MPH on GPS!  Grin

Thanks for the compliments. Let me know when you get your bike. We meet sunday mornings at Holiday Park. That Crazy man doing highspeed wheelies is Kevin aka "Superkaos" He has his own website. www.superkaos.com. You should check out the video section. I don't frequent there that much anymore. I am more into my Quads now.  Grin The Sportbikes also meet wednesday nights at Hooters at Pines and university. Cool

why even wear a helmet if you're going 200? If you crash you wont feel a thing.  Grin

I say save your money and buy a fast car. I'm not one of those bike haters but there are too many stupid people out there that dont pay attention, and on a bike you're odds are much worse. Buy a fast car and then you at least stand a chance in an accident!

I agree with Gary.  I think sport bikes are great, but it depends on where you live.  It's the other drivers out there, not the bikers that are the problem.  I wanted to get one too at one point but, in Orlando especially, drivers are mad.  (Don't be surprised if I change my mind someday  Grin especialy with gas so d@*m high.)  A woman at work spent $25K on her dream bike, had it a week and some idiot ran a red light.  She was messed up pretty bad, had to quit her job etc.  When my kids are grown, I'm going to think about this again, in the mean time, that's what the 328i is for.  [smiley=drive.gif]

I own an Acura NSX...its my dream car and with the mods I've done, I can run well over 180mph.  I run the 1/4 mile in just under 12 seconds and I absolutely love it!!!!!  So ya, its smarter than a bike, but the fun of the wind in your hair and the feel is just incomprable!!!!!!

Personally I like the ZX-6r much better than the R6 it's just more comfortable IMO not that either of them are extremely comfortable though. lol If it was me though I'd go with the Honda 919  Wink or the SuperHawk

I agree with the guys above find a used 600 keep it for a year and you will be wanting a liter bike then go and buy a new 1000!!!  I had a 99 zx6r and it was a great bike but I got sick of it quick.  The only way I would buy another 600 is if I was going to use it as a track bike.  Street bikes are just like quads in that when you go and look at used ones you can tell which ones have been taken care of and which ones have been ridden hard and put away wet.  However if you are still dead set on getting a brand new one I would go with the Kawi....I love that blue color and the undertail exhaust looks sooooooo much better!!!

if you have  or know someone who has this bike, you need to check into the oil line upgrade to the crank bearings. my brother inlaw has lost 2 motors with locked up crank bearings. both it turns out around 15.000 miles. other than that its been a great bike for him.

On the ZRX?  They had that trouble on the ZX11 same moter but when the designed the ZRX1100 the oil lines are different.  Jeff has 17,000 miles and no problems, nor have I ever seen it mentioned here .....http://zrxoa.org/forums//

The ZRX is a great bike and there are lots of mods you can do [smiley=Wink.gif]
