does anybody know if 2001 raptor shocks will work on a 1997 300 ex?

1993 KX-125 pro circuit exhaust, renthal bars, khlein carb, flywheel, excel rims, powdercoated rims and forks, moose bar guards, ceet, oh yea a spare engine!

All I know is I gave a friend my '05
YFZ shocks
, similar to
Raptor shocks
,
and he said he had to make slight modifications to the shock mounts to
get them to work. So they
are NOT direct bolt-on's
. But not that big a deal
either if you have someone with some fabrication skills.

i called my dealer today and they said no but on ebay i found a bolt on kit to put in all kinds of stocks on 300 exes so idk what im gonna do-hopefully get a newer and better machine soon though----thanks

One thing to keep in mind when performing the modification such as these. be certain the other componenets on the front suspension can handle the upgrade. For instance if there is to much rebound on the shocks and you sail the next table or the next double, whats to say that the lower control arm ball joint doesnt rip the castle nut threads off and you find your self wrecked or worse hurt. evaluate each modifcation thourghly and consider the worst.
