yeah but if this is yamahas falt they would have a reacall you probabbly wont need a warranty. and it wont last 6 months those bolts look like they would fall out very quickly.

Why would they be loose, and who wants to pay that kind of money to just have to go home tear it down and basically rebuild it it from the floor up. Tighten every nut and bolt??? Thats a joke right.

After its had some ride time of course, but off the show room floor.Thats ridiculous. This is some excellent info. Personally id be sure to mention it the day i bought one, and stand there and watch em fix it. Can you say PREP FEES??. Fellas you are paying for the fact that this bike has been set up (prepped).

yamaha should fix this problem after all you have to pull the stater and the idle gear or something like that to tighten those screws.

I went over my whole quad the day I brought it home. I even took out the swingarm bolt and disassembled the rear link to grease everything up really good. If you ever had to beat a stuck swingarm bolt out you can understand why I tore it a part. By looking at the picture om GT Thunders site it doesn't look that hard to get at.

Those are not hard to get to, the gear comes right out. Slides right back in. I accidently pulled it off because I thought it was my oil filter and when I pulled it off, I saw those two screws, but didnt know about that problem untill last night.

Check all of the stator cover bolts at the same time. I rode my 06 for the first time for about 1/2 hour and when I was cleaning it up I noticed that it was missing 5 bolts out of the stator cover. I then pulled off the starter gear cover to find the 2 bolts behind there loose as well.

I've had my bike for 2yrs now and ride it pretty hard. I've never checked those bolts but when I get my bike back I'll check them. If their loose at least then we'll know they won't come out.

Well I opened it up and the bolts were tight but needed some elbow-grease to make it from vibrating loose again I'll see if they get loose after a couple more rides
