the grizz family has left us
«

the grizz family informed us this weekend that they are leaving the site. the reason is they have been recieving negitive personal comments from another member on this site. feeling like i do as it takes 2 to make an argument they chose to leave the site than to make a big deal over it. this in my opinion is bad for the site as the grizz family helped bring a lot of enthusiasm and interest to the site especially during the rodman rides. how many miles of trails did they help open up after the huricanes last year? they helped with the clean up day at rodman and have promoted the site as much as anybody and way more than most. how many people have they helped out on the trails? the grizz's are not the kind of people we want to be leaving the site.
i think an effort should be made by mr bones, the moderators and every member that they (the grizz's) have befriended on this site to get them to come back. i also think this harrasment should stop. its one thing to harras some smart mouth punk but not someone thats trying to make a positive impact. i talked to them about this all day saturday but couldnt change thier minds. maybe if they here it from more of us it will make an impact. i'm done.

I agree 100% w/ what jjamesbar has already said. I'm some what new to the site and have had the opportunity to meet and ride w/ the Grizz's. They are great people who always have positive things to say. We don't find them in the middle of the rest of the drama that's been going on lately.
Losing them is a great loss to our family. Please help to bring them back!

I asked Mama Grizz why she was leaving and she named name(s). If the mods want to know, they can contact me directly and I'll tell them what she said.

I don't know what happened but I have not met a nicer family, they are great people and add alot to the sport. Don't let anybody come between you and the friends you have made here Claude, I have strayed away from the site lately due to the BS and just now heard of this. I truely hate to see you go but I do understand where you are coming from. Next time you come up to ONF let me know I have a blast ridin' with you guys. You should reconsider leaving the site, I think yall are liked and respected by the majority of the people here. Hey Budman you need to stick around Too. It's a shame that it's the good people that lose in these situations. Hope to see you guys on the trail.

Ive never met them in person, but on the site they have always been very nice and helpful. I'd like to see them back on the site, hopefully they'll still come back if we solve the problem(s).

I can remember when I first joined this forum, Claude was the first member to welcome me. I was green, just bought my first bike and knew very little about the sport. Claude answered a lot of my questions, showed me the local riding spots, and our families have been riding and camping together ever since. When the personal attacks started, I was out of the Country for almost 3 weeks and was out of touch with what was going on. By the time I got back, the damage was done. I was shocked.
There are no bigger advocates for ATVFlorida.com than Claude and Marjory. They have flags, banners, signs, stickers and anything else you can imagine all over their trailers, ATV’s and more. They have done so much for so many of us. Strangely, they have also done more than any Moderator or even the Site Administrator. They are the ATVFlorida poster children.
I made a choice to stay out of all the childish behavior on the site and hold myself to a higher standard. So did Claude as he refused to lower himself to the level of his attacker. Even now, attacks are still being made and we see no action from the Administrator of this site to stop it.
I am watching several of my friends, Grizz, Mama Grizz and Budman, be driven away and it upsets me. From the posts being made on this thread, it is obvious that many others feel the same.
So, I encourage everyone to join in and help me with this appeal:
Mr. Bones, where are you? Get involved. Forget your Moderators, some issues have to be dealt with by the boss. This cannot be delegated away. You know the problem, solve it and encourage Claude, Marjorie and Budman to come back. The health of your website is at stake as everyone sees the deterioration. Claude and Marjory do not deserve the treatment they received, they have earned your support many times over and it is time for you to act.

SK8Tr I must agree i spoke with Claude this morning and i expressed the ill feeling i had for him leaving. I am friends with evryone on this site and i have managed to stay neutral on 95% of all the arguements. I really hope something can be done here.

I am glad that I can add my 2 cents in on this thread. When I joined this site a couple of years ago there was never any bashing of any kind going on. The site was informative and showed alot of pictures of great riding areas through out the state ( most of the pics were from the Grizz ). I have since gone on some of the group rides with the Grizz's and I can tell you that these people would give you the shirts off there backs. You cant find nicer people anywhere. I think the person responsible for the lame and hurtfull comments should stepup and be a man and make the well deserved apologies that he needs to make. I just hope that the Grizz's will come back and help make this site great again. Because without them it wont be half as good.

It sucks that people can be so mean in this world. I hope the Grizzes come back. I have not met any of them but have met most of you all and that is good enough for me.
Someone needs to correct this immediately!
