Not sure if anyone else has seen this yet. We all know how many people are stuck on the hiways trying to leave Texas, some even running out of gas. I just saw on the news a pretty sad story about a bus catching fire on the interstate outside of Houston... 24+ elderly people were killed in the fire, here's some photos Sad Investigators are even saying that after the bus initially caught on fire, that the oxygen tanks used by the occupants caused even more explosions... only fueling the fire. And to think... the storm hasnt even hit yet  Cry

Yeah I heard that this morning. Did they update it because this morning they said that there were a few injuries but they didn't say anything about deaths at that point.

Very sad  Cry

I spoke with a friend from Houston last night.....he had been driving for 15 hours and had only gone 150 miles? still had 25 miles to go  Huh  It took 11 hours to drive the first 60 miles  Shocked He had a 1/4 tank of gas left and was hoping to make it.

Insane......
I think we would be in big trouble if "The BIG One" came here.

Here's what MSN.com has to say about it....

The bus was carrying 43 people away from an upscale nursing home. Some were taken to a hospital, but officials were unable to get everyone off the bus before it exploded, approximately 24 are dead, but the number could change. The initial fire is said to have been caused by mechanical problems, possibly overheated breaks... then the oxygen tanks started exploding.

How would overheated brakes cause a spark in the passenger compartment? I say it was just another fine benefit of legal cigarette smoking, regardless. That is because the great majority(if not all) only needed oxygen due to years of tobacco use and not their age! And, that nasty habit may have also caused the deaths of other passengers who never smoked!
