I can assume that you are a far left wing liberal and are still upset that Kerry lost the election.  Please consider what function the seat belt serves and how many lives would be lost if it were not worn.  I have personally  been a first responder and saw a man take his last breath because he wasn't belted and was slung around the inside of the car.

You guys don't know your left from your right so why bring that up , this was a thread about safety not politics. $10,000 in insurance gets you a no helmet chit, that makes it a personal preference thing not a majority rule thing thank God.

The real reason is big business again. Insurance companies been lobbying for this for years. It saves them millions of dollars a year. both car and medical insurance co. save on hospital stays and major surgerys that get really expensive. I'm sure that number is cut down with everyone wearing set belts. So their you go, big business the American dream Gotta save money for the rich!!! Pretty soon they well make us wear a helmet for walking soon.
