|
You must use your brakes a lot. Most quads will slow down by themselves without the use of brakes unless you do a lot of hill climbing.

i do use my brakes a lot and ride in a lot of mud,hills whenever i can

Maybe slow down when you know that you are gonna have to stop and they may last longer. Let the transmission slow the quad down for you some.

You said you ride in a bit of mud. That will do your pads in quickly. On a wet MX track I have wasted a set of pads in one night before.
You can also look into getting a better compound pad. There are some brands out there that will last longer than the cheaper pads.

my sons warrior eats through pads like theres no tomorrow. given we do alot of mud riding. i also believe that a scored rotor eats them up alot quicker. but i have noticed that mud riding eats them twicwe as fast as trail riding. if we get three rides out of them we're doing good.

i have tried the severe duty pads i didnt think they lasted that much longer
and i would say more than a bit of mud lol

I got just over 300 miles out of my stock pads on my '05. But it lives in the water and mud. Now I am using EBC Severe Duty. Just put them on So not sure How long they'll hold up. But from my past quads (utilities) 8-9 months is all I get out of most any brand. The EBC SD seem to hold up the best for me in the past.
