umm. i dont get it. open up the hiways.

people are trying to get out of houston, stuck in traffic for hours. why the heck dont they open up the opposite lanes to get those people out of there.
jesus i am no rocket scientist but ummm...........the other side of the hiway is empty.

maybe i'm missin something.

I think they are waiting for some of the rescue workers and others to get down the highway before they open it up, some sections are already oneway

Mt exact thought as well. open the other lanes. place cones on the 2 far lanes for emergency traffic to pass. I-95 an I-10 are set up for that way here in Jacksonville.
