you would really be suprised by the power that comes out of a little motor like that with a few aftermarket parts on it. My friend has a moded 400ex that I raced in Big Scrub on the main road and he only beat me by 2-3 bike lengths. it has a K&N,Big Gun slip-on and a jet-kit. It also has Gibson long-travel A-arms, Elka quadruple rate Elite series shocks, Firestick axle and Hubs, and a Roll Design steering stem, 250R style front fenders all black plastic and a few more bits and pieces.

Stock Blaster :20 HP

more than a stock warrior

http://www.toomey.com/image/products/blaster/BlasterFinalComparison.jpg

just with a pipe about 25.3 HP average + my other mods = bad a$$ blaster

Besides the 400ex w/Big Gun FULL exhaust is only 25.7 HP

Just some crazy guy that thought it up and wanted to race in the 200cc class but had to have a better chassis than everyone else?

Probably to race in a 200cc MX Class or some other class that needed a small motor like that. This way you have a better handling quad then a Blaster.

they do that so the little kids under 16 can still race a national event but be on a big bike. anybody can do that to their 400ex. Hetrick racing makes most of the stuff for them as far as motor mounts and eveyrthing. ya'll wouldnt imagine how fast them kids r on them bikes.. they can jump and clear everything the pros do. i wouldnt be puttin blasters down if you dont even have a bike.....

I think it's really cool, my blaster is faster than our 400ex, but the 400, even in stock form, handles so much better than the blaster it makes it faster on the track.  On smooth trails and stuff, our blaster does probably better than our 400.
