drill a 1/16 inch hole in each end of the cracks. it should give you some time before breaking maybe a couple of months or get it tig welded.

One of my friends has one big crack in his swing arm of his yfz and he is still jumping it like dreth. It has gotten worse and worse but it started about 8-9 months ago. You should be alright for awhile. I would keep riding it until you can afford a new one.

If you Continue to ride with the cracks I would just be careful cause if it decided to go out on you coming off a large jump it could be painful. Good luck

Just tig weld the crap out of it. Chance are it won't spread. Do it now that way IF it spreads you'll notice before you attempt that double and find out then.  -Mark

Rob do you know if that is “CAST” (Metal that is poured into a cast) or bent into shape. Drilling a hole is a pretty standard method to combat cracking. I can not see the picture very well but it looks like the finish is what’s cracking. I think that is Powder coating and it might be cracking and not the actual steel.

I wish... it's not steel. Only aluminum. Yamaha has been having alot of problems w/ these things cracking. I called them and asked them about a warranty b/c I have the 3yr plan and he told me to bring it in. Wants to know if the bike was wrecked, damaged or simply ragged on. My bike looks d**n good but they have their way of denying you when they want to. Whatta you guys think my chances are?

Thanx guys for all of your input Bow

I know its worth a shot, just make sure they will pay for it before they start. If they wont then you are in the same place youre in now. If they do then you are good to go.
