I was comming back from the air port when suddenly a lady security guard comes up and says to me you are selected for a "random" check. I didnt even set off the machine and she starts felling me up. I always get checked at the air port.

So, to ensure we Americans never offend anyone, particularly fanatics intent on killing us, airport security screeners will no longer be allowed to profile certain people. They must conduct random searches of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, secret agents who are members of the President's security detail, 85-year old Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of Honor winning and former Governor Joe Foss, but leave Muslim Males between the ages 17 and 40 alone because of profiling.

I don't know when it changed, but I remember a time when using past (reliable) statistical information to narrow down suspects was considered good police work. Now you might offend someone or get sued by the ACLU. So we find ourselves turning away from those that might fit the general description of those that might attack us and focus instead on innocent citizens. I say that for the good of the country we might have to impose slightly on some rights that might inconvenience us, but as a whole ensure the safety of our entire country. If someone doesn't like it I say leave. You can't go to Iran, or Saudi Arabia or anywhere else in the world as a foreigner and expect them to treat you like you own the place. Only in America do we cater to those other than the ones that helped build, or care about the future of our country. And when all this politically correct crap allows some American hating finatical creap to attack us, those same people crying about profiling and discrimination will be sueing the government because they didn't protect their loved ones.

The largest group of people who get screened are American business men and business women. Statically we are no safer than before. TSA is only for show, not a solution. Europe has been using heightened security since Lockerbie (Flight 103 in Scotland in 1988), so why didn't America take note and heighten our security? I worked at an Airport in the 90's and security was a joke. In 2000 the our wonderful leaders in office dropped a program that profiles and helps stop known terrorist's from getting on planes saying it wasn't needed and too costly. Why does America have to wait for something big to happen before we do something about it? Did they feel it wasn't cost effective to raise security. Did they think this wouldn't happen in America? Would you never change your oil on your quad thinking it will be fine because it still runs? What happened to preventive maintenance? Just seems Bass Akwards to me.

Also on Chuck_Norris's post. What about Oklahoma April 19, 1995? We can't just assume it's only one group of people are the cause of all our problems, though I would have picked the NFL for number 11  We have this problem of focusing too much on one thing and not paying attention to the other problems. it happens..believe me...i remember when the war broke out in iraq.....i went on vacation that week....i took the family to Eroupe....and boy....comming back was the worst.....you got feltup...lucky you..i got detain...lol....and i was working for FDLE at the time.....i came in true Philly...these guys dont have a clue on whats going on.....man i tell you....could only laugh now....maybe if i had a towel wrap around my head..they would of let me pass without problems....hahah...

its true about the security being a joke. i travel with work sometimes and once i forgot to take off my pocket knife from my keychain and they didnt even see it on the outgoing flight. gues-ss what on the return flight they didnt catch it either. oh, and by the way, it was also visible being i placed my keys in a bin all alone. go figure.

it is rediculios. i got one of those random check when i got on a plane in tampa, and i know i look like an american. blonde skin tight fade with a camy backpack, and nooo i dont look like an american. sure i was still drunk from the night before and looked a liitle out of it ,but that makes me look even more like a Marine [smiley=drink.gif]
