Today at the speed ride, Hollywood hit a washout not far from camp going pretty quick and hit dead on with an OAK TREE! Yes that is right an OAK TREE! I talked to him on the phone and he said so far just a flat bumper and broken rezzie mount for his shock that he could see. He said he will live, but the pain is pretty sharp and his elbow is about the size of a softball!  Shocked He said he will be going for xrays as a precaution. Lets all please keep him in our thoughts and prayers and hope he is not injured badly!

Grin Kinda hard to see in the pic but it is very swollen. Anyways I am alive and kickin' we'll see how I feel in the morning before I decide to go for X-rays or not. As of right now I am feeling pretty good considering just trying to stay on the couch as much as possible.

Steve I'm so glad you are still with us...sounded like it was pretty bad.  You've got to stop the kamakazi stuff man.  Remember last time I rode w/ you I watched you ride upside down and down that hill at Ida's.  I hope you aren't hurt too bad and it ends up nothing serious.  On a good note.....the new work on the plastic remained in tact.  My thoughts are with you.

Yea hollywood, keep us posted. Hope you feel better soon.

Just thought I'd tell you, we stayed till about 8:00pm and another guy showed up with his girl, had his quad out for a test ride after doing $1200 worth of hop ups. He took it down the power lines like a bat out of h@ll. On his way back he was riding a wheelie a little fast, hit a wash out and when the front came down the quad was facing to the left and rolled real bad. Slamed the guy to the ground, hit his head and he was shook up bad, bleeding from one of his eyes. I saw them on the way out at Buck & Does calling a ambulance, stoped to see if I could help, but his lady said help was on the way.

To think if he had his helmet on, he might not have been hurt so bad. That's right, he had no helmet on and riding very fast. Hope he makes it out ok. He was hurting and didn't know where he was, just pain.
My son saw it all and now knows why we wear our helmets.

Hollywood, I gave some thought to you getting xrays.  I'm not sure what kind of insurance you have or what your deductables are.  You can most likely save yourself some money on xrays by going to a chiropractors office and not the hospital.  Also, you won't wait for hours at a chiro office.  Let me know if you need help finding someone up there.  Only down side is you'll have to wait till Monday for the films.

Hollywood, Man Just because becasue we cannot ride Jasper this year does not mean You need to go bust up your quad like that. Although you and Chuck seem to know how to keep four wheel in the air more than on the ground. HEHE Get well soon man and if you need anything but money to repair your body let us know. If you need money to repair the quad, well thats another story. HEHE We may can come up with some fundraiser to have the quad fixed. HEHE

Thanks again everyone for all the support. Still feeling a little beat up but pretty good. Still haven't had any X-rays but going to get some in the morning since my arm is still pretty swollen.  :-/ As long as all goes well with that then who's ready to ride this weekend?!?!?! lol j/k may take a week or 2 off after this one.

Hey Dreth I think everyone there that saw it can vouch that I am Deffinately Proof that God saves!

About the guy that didn't have his helmet on when he crashed I sure wish him the best and hope he learned a good lesson. I know had I not had mine on I would most surely not be here now since my head was the 1st thing to hit. I don't think anyone got a pic of it but a couple feet above the mark where my bumper hit on the tree was another place with all the bark missing where my helmet hit!  Shocked I also have a nice bruise on my forehead from that.

Well doc says nothings broke and the swelling will go away in a few days but I do have possible nerve damage to my left hip area so if the numbness/burning doesn't go away in a week or 2 then I will have to go see a specialist for that. We are hoping it is just from the swelling/muscle trauma to that area and as it goes away so will the pain. The quad will live again also just got to get a new bumper, rear wheel and air shroud.  Grin

Glad to hear you're relatively ok.  I had a similar prob w/ nerve damage in my hip 10 yrs ago in a quad accident.  Took mine a year or so before it came back.  It's still a little over sensitive to some things.
