I've just got a PEP ZPS rear shock for my 87 R.  I can't seem to get the top of the shock into the mount.  It seems it is about 1/16 of an inch too wide...just enough it won't go in.  Any suggestions?

Thanks!
Mike

Didn't you just have that frame powder coated? If so it might be the extra thickness from the powder...I know I had that problem on some things. Might just need to grind the powder off.

Mike , sometimes  from  tightning  the  bolt  down  over  and  over  it  will  pull  the  tabs  together.  Try  taking  a  philips  screw  driver  or  something  and  just  slighty  bending  the  tabs  open  alittle  bit. Wink

I agree with hollywood. If you just had it powder coated depending on how thick it was put on that will happen.
