Durhamtown Plantation
«

RL400 and GitRDun700 (my dad) went to Durhamtown Plantation for awhile. We had alot of fun... We also met up with wheelie_boy there, but sadly we didnt get any pictures of him and I or anything... My dad and I arent real great with taking alot of pictures... We often forget the camera back at the truck.
Durhamtown is an AWESOME place to ride. Theres tons of ATV trails, and some bike only trails. They have some strict rules, but they're good. They REQUIRE helmets, which is great. We drove up Saturday, rode sunday, monday, and turesday, then drove home wednesday. Its about a 10 hour drive and 600 miles from palm beach county to Union Point, Georgia... But it was definitly worth the drive. My dad and I rented two dirtbikes (Honda CRF230) one day for fun. They dont always have meals, usually they only serve friday, saturday, and sunday meals... We squeezed a few meals during the week out of them. Unless you cook out near your cabin or something, then you have drive ~30 minutes to the nearest city for some pizzahut, mexican food, wendy's, or some high quality mcdonalds food... So its tough sometimes.
My dad's kingquad was the rescue machine this week. We helped 3 people in 3 days of riding. One person on a CR450 or something had a failed spark plug and a flat rear tire.. He started pushing the bike back to camp (LONG way back), so we stopped and started pulling him... Took him back to his truck and i guess he got it fixed, saw him on the drag strip later that day. Then some kid's yamaha warrior broke down, we lent his dad a rope to tug him back to the camp, just told him to drop the rope on our porch. Then heres the big one... Some guy on a Yamaha 450 dirtbike just got it 2-3 weeks ago (his first bike, used), ithe guy before him had alot of mods and such on it, it was way out of his league for a beginner bike. Well he went over a jump, took a spill, and broke his wrist. He sat there untill we came by and we picked him up and took him to camp. We took his friend back later to get his bike. but his friends were riding way ahead of him so they didnt know it happened. It was about 4:40ish that he broke his wrist, and the trails at durhamtown close at 5:00 and on a weekday theres barely anyone out there... So we may have been the last people to pass him anyways. I think we win good guys of the week award.
All in all its a great place to ride, alot of fun, great for the family, definitly worth the drive.

exactly. the shocks bottomed out, then my arms compressed on the bars and it just snapped my bone.

Hey you said you rented out crf250s, but in the pics you are on a crf230, huge difference. Are the bikes up there in good condition? Because I am thinking of selling my bike for a 250 two-stroke and I really want to ride one for one full day just to make sure I really want it.
