i just got my HWD 240 broke in graydon pipe, 34mm carb, 400ex shock, shee axel out back.  It's kinda sick my friend probably weighs 290 and even he can't keep the front end on the ground, I'm 150 so no throttle when I'm trying to steer, gets wide and ugly fast.

hwd= hollywood dirt
my crank got fried so i sent them the whole motor. it's their carb and it's jetted pretty close to right, still have some fine tunning to do, but it idles and hauls a$$, it's a little rich but that means safe, haven't fouled a plug yet so it's not too far off.  took off the lid on the airbox lid and had to cut half of the rubber boot off to get the carb adapter to fit in it, got new reeds as the old ones were shot. 1mm spacer under the jug to get the piston out of the ports way.  I'm happy as hell with their work, and i got one of the last ones for a while, their not taking anymore work for now.

If you are like me you go through some small water now and then and want to keep the water out of the air box. This product works great I also recommend that you use a hot glue gun to seal the lid after you clean the filter each time. What is the jetting that you’re using?

I am thinking we should have 2 rides every year. the first for 2006 can be March 4th the same week as bike week and the second can be in October for Biketober fest.

Man, you sure are making this a big deal. But somthing like getting vendors out there needs lots of planning. If lets say 30bikes show up..You might get a photograph and some memories.. I honestly think you would need some sort of event, other than just a ride.. Like rent out a motocross track for a day, weekend, whatever. For one, a vendor wont show up at croom and sit there while everyone goes riding. They would lose ALOT of profit on that.

My suggestion is to rent out a track for a weekend. Advertise it as much as you can (without spamming) and get some type of main event for people to actually show up and want to stay. Also, I know its a Blaster ride, but most people that own blasters are kids. I know some of you have them, but really, a 200cc 2 stroke and small frame is sized for kids and teens learning to ride fast bikes. This means you have to widen the production models from lets say all 2 stroke day. That means Polaris, Yamaha, Honda and Kawisaki and Suzuki. This will get you ALOT more hits. Alot more people could show up and just a all out better time.

On this site, how many active posters on here have a blaster AND RIDE IT as their main bike? I would count only around 7-10. That would be no fun and I would bet any money that a big name like FMF would not show. But if you take everyone who has a 2 stroke quad.. You have more than enough to hold an event, best of the best, fastest time...Whatever you want, let your imagination run free!

Ok, so lets recap.

#1 Rent a track for a weekend
#2 Advertise, find promoters!
#3 Widen the catigories to ALL 2 stroke Quads.
#4 Advertise to the public!
#5 Set up events
#6
#7 Profit.. Grin

Try to follow those steps and you should have a nice turn out! I look forward to pictures.

this is true i thought there were more blaster owners out there. i think the idea  of a 2 stoke any make & model day event somewhere would be awesome! like i was saying i think that the sat. march 4th during bike week would be a great idea. an other thoughts? also check the poll at the top i gess there may be about 5-20 people going blaster owners and friends as well as family it will still be a lot of fun!

Right on, but dont expect huge names in the industry to show up.

When I used to play paintball, the big names like WDP, worrgames, Boblong and other huge reconized companys wouldnt show up to an event if it were lets say, Rookies - Amature division. Only because they are a bunch of no name teams. Of course everyone is profestional, but they werent going to show up to a little tournament in orlando just for 30 teams.

I think when I went to the NCPA which stands for National Collegeic Paintbal Association, which is college paintball. Even big name schools were there, but I bet there was only two vendors there. One was a paint distributer, and the other was a squeegy seller. And that was on their big day of the tournament. Schools like, Purdue, UF, FSU, UCLA, and other big name schools where there, but yet it was only college level, not many people cared.

But in orlando (same place they held this event) when it was the World cup of paintball. Big name teams like, Dynasty, russion legion, Oakland assasins..Guys that get payed to play paintball, just like Travis pastrona, Carey hart, Bill Balance. Those guys are BIG NAMES! I bet you all know who those people are. Well when the big names showed up, The comapnys that knew people would be there wanting to watch them would be there, they showed up.

So I guess what im trying to say is, expect the worst, hope for the best. I know you want this to be big, but somethings cant be rushed together.

Good luck man, I am all for you holding this event. I hope for the best!

I hear you guys loud and clear I was just hoping because of bike week maybe there would be some incentive. But I've posted this blaster ride on allot of sties to no avail. I relay thought there were more blaster owners out there. But IM starting to see that like you all have said this will be a small group of 10 guys having a blast getting dirty and thirsty. None the less ill be there ready to eat some food and ride the hel.l out of my blaster. Hope to see you guys there. Buy the way do you still have your marker? Osceola Extreme Sports is a pretty good place to play woods ball but it sounds like you are a air ball guy

Nah, I got out of that stuff about 6 months ago. It was more hassle going to big tourneys and just wasnt "fun" anymore.

I had a Speices intimidator, with frenzy board, Empire reloader B, Stiffi barrel, WGP 70ci stubby.

I really wouldn't do that to the blaster.  For one, the resell value will go through the floor if you install that.  And it's just not a perment add on, you gotta be filling the bottle and all.  If I was you, I wouldn't do, but done right, it's an easy 15 or 20 horsepower gain that can be preety reliable, but you gotta do it right and stay ontop of it.  BTW, where do you live?  I'm going riding this Saturday, the 6th, here in south florida, maybe we could meet up somewhere?

Thanks for the advise with me being new to all of this I start reading about some thing and get caught up in the hype a little like with the NOS. its relay cool that there is a site like this. I posted a place I go down there in the “where to ride” forum. The topic is “ok place to ride in Miami/fortladerdale” you might know of it. the place is the link below.

Has anyone changed a front sprocket and can tell me what I have to do or maybe someone in the Apopka fl. area has a service manual I could barow?

Hey, not trying to bust your balls, but someone posted all of the yamaha service manuals in some post. Do a search and you could print out what you need for the Blaster. Good luck!

that link doesn't work anymore. the guy had to take it down for copyright infrigment.

The pipes that work the best are the ones that didnt run on top of the head, removes the heat from the head.  Grin

bingo. right bend pipes is where the power is at. i have a right bend ct and love the power over my left bend pro circuit.

i would only be able to go the last to dates, im dog sitting 4-5 and doing an enduro the 12th. id like to go to see how my blaster measures up to other blasters...
