Just started riding again and noticed I need a lot more power out of my 400, can't exactly afford to get a 450 and build it for motocross so the next best thing is beef up the 400 to a 440!

Last ride I got out of her before the engine said NO MORE

Started the tear down

Pretty damn dirty down there

Started buying parts!

While I was waiting for the big bore kit in the mail I played around with a new color scheme.

Didn't like it that much so I'm having them layered in carbon fiber. Should be getting them back monday!

Ups stopped by!

Some more speed bumps

Been looking for a set of these for the past couple months since they don't make them anymore in the US. There's a company in europe that sells them but they're well over $100 and that doesn't include the shipping cost. Got these for 25 bucks off ebay!

Now that all my parts are shipped, time to get her naked!

While I'm waiting for the head to finish being worked on, put my gripper seat in!

Solution to that speed bump I posted above

More random stuff I needed

Picture of one of my old valves. Is that cupped? Can't really tell

Got the head back!

Had to get the header expanded to fit the rest of the exhaust. Half FMF half yoshi!

Engine in!

More pics to be added over the weekend and monday!

keep in mind when changing bore size and the way the motor breaths will require large jet changes.

I went from a 148 main jet and a 38 pilot to a 220 main and a 50pilot when I built my 440.

A friend of mine just recently built another 440 and he had a 230 main jet and a 52 pilot.

The difference in power was amazing once we went into the 200 main jet sizes.

Dont buy a dynojet go to www.jetsrus.com and order from there, you will need more then a few jets not just 3 or 4, maybe like 10.

At jetsrus in the FAQ section there is a excellent write up on how to tune your main jet.

Hope this helps GET THEM PICTURES UP!  Cool
