We all know what he does for a living, but that doesn't take the shine off of what he did. We were on our way to the range to shoot up some targets when a man who had been talking to himself and waving a 8 inch butcher knife around, approached my truck (and our 13 yo son who was in it). I drew down on the guy and was ordering him away from my truck when TJ came out of the store, drew his .380 from his pocket, announced himself as a Police Officer, and took over. With the help of a Marine (who went into full Corps-mode) they were able to get the knife thrown away and took him down without furthur incedent. He's my hero for showing up when he did and not hesitating to do his job. TJ would have been justified in shooting the guy, the guy was within the 21 feet "kill zone" of TJ, but TJ used his head and his training, and handled this VERY, VERY well. I hope that guy knows how lucky he was for pulling this chit when he did... there are a lot of poeple who would have shot first. So, I guess TJ is that nut-job's hero too for not plugging his azz!
