With all due respect to your opinions, DFA withdrew their request. How was DFA assuring Polk County they'd cover the expenses associated with the obvious need for increased public safety(roads, traffic, fire, police, etc.)? What concessions or other considerations were made for the impact on local residents, who obviously live there to avoid crowded city life? More than ever, folks have growing disdain for city life. For them, city life is not a melting pot of cultures, it's a cesspool. They don't come to big cities to impose their style of life. So, why do we believe we have the right to impose on them, just so we can ride our ATVs on weekends, leaving the mess for them to deal with? Why can't we redirect our disappointment at our own city/county officials for not finding us opportunities?
