was the last drag race on a feature weekend, the turn out may not be a strong on an off weekend.
I haven't been to the plex in a while, what are the gate - race fee's.
are there payouts ?
is there any kind of competition other than a few 450's and a 700 raptor?

I remember a yellow bike, wearing out a Yamaha Raptor 700, with a measly 450CC at the end of the races that night. And it recall it was rideing on an old wore out set of tires not the bad azz paddles you were peddling that night, Maybe its time to find a set of paddles before this weekend... Anyone have a set to of paddles with a Suzuki or Honda pattern to lend out, i think i could set a new bar at the drags with paddles  Undecided    Just Saying   FUB

COOP.
I do remember the same race it my have never counted but it took place if i remember correctly it was not just 1 but 2 races.

i know talk is talk and cheap but we are talking 450cc vs 700cc even if its a close race it takes 250cc more to compete with the 450. The only thing the raptor is good for is drags and trails. Make it a fair race  do the drags then 2 laps on the MX track which the 450 will shine in both not just one type of racing.

Wow no forgets to the trophy, congrats to you Roll Eyes, may want to ask around, i think i have a half dozen or more of the winners plaques from the drags, without paddles, they also were on a Yamaha 700 raptor with dunlaps,  then i got beat by a 450 and bought a few. Nice thing about the Suzuki's are you can drag with a white LTR, MX with a yellow LTR and hit the woods with a black LTR. But i do ride the mud with a Yamaha still Bruin 350..... Just Sayin'!!!! FUB You guys are not going to get me out there with the outlaw 525 on the property Shocked Truth be known i'm sceered...

what is the next race date and gate fee's, is it a feature weekend?
$10 entry ,we usually pay $50 for each open pro class .
I hope there is something other than just piped 450's ,raptors, and a high test powered    525  !!!

CJ i can tell by the comments about the Yamaha's being so fast that you were one of the guys in high school that your Mustang GT with the 3/4 Fireball Race cam and 50 series tires was the bomb.

not exactly, but if you swap the GT with a  Nova, or Chevelle you would be a little closer.
Just be sure to bring all your friends in the video, you may need all the help you can get this weekend Shocked

comparing a 450 to a 700 is fair, stock for stock the 700's are heaver and there not as highly tuned as the 450's are.
bring up the 700's VE to match the 450's,and it wouldn't even be close !!

unless that's a mock up for fun,you might also want to raise the front up a little,so the pickup is in the lowest position !

Can't we all just get along? Besides lets face it, it doesn't take much to go really fast in a strait line. Put anybody who has been riding for a while (Less than a year) on a built bike (700cc) and they will do well. Now put a experienced rider on a bike almost half the size (450cc) and watch the dust fly all over the BUILT BIKE. The bike is only part of this equation. Just saying.

Whats funny is that both Supercoop and myself had raptors. We both just realized that the 450's perform alot with a rider who knows how to use them. By the way engine rebuild complete, ready for race day. Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin
