90% of the trails will be dry (no standing water) the trails close to the st. johns river hold water. chillinthemost made it through them on his yfz with no problem, and they were real wet.

Two people coming from Ocala...   Where can we drop fuel or is a gas station close by along the way?  Not sure I can make it 50 miles on my LT500?

Is anyone bringing a 4x4 with a cooler?  Wondered if I could throw a couple bottles of water in?

Thanks
Jason

i'll drop 10 gallons of fuel close to the 1/2 way point. i also carry 3-1/2 gallons with me. as far as mix, you'll need to cover that. we'll probably stop by chillinthemost's cabin at the 3/4 way point as well. someone bring rope. most of the utilities carry a cooler. if you do carry a cooler a ratchet type binder works best, dont rely on bungies alone. one other thing, if it dont rain it will be dusty, dont forget your goggles.

Yeah She loves Beef Turkey Jeff Wink We are bringing a tow rope just in case it is needed, Might also bring a cooler. Have not decided yet, Also we will Bring Bug repellant if anyone needs it.  Most of all just be ready to have fun and dont forget goggles, they are probably the most important item to bring just like Jeff said.

i had mentioned about hiding a piston or something and posting the gps coords for someone else to find and inturn hide again. this treasure hunt thing sounds fun, it will take a preride to lay it out. it would be great to set up a 50-70 mile ride based on finding clues.

Geotracking is fun too. You go to www.geocaching.com and put in the coordinates of the stuff you hide and then people find the stuff and report back on the find. Check it.

I'm going to try to make this trip.  I just put in for Thursday and Friday off next week.  My wifes working so I have the kids.  Hoping to take them to my parents near Ocala, my wife would meet me Friday, and the two of us would meet the group Saturday, assuming my parents will watch the kids for the day.  With young ones, nothing's certain until it happens, but I'm trying.

I'm trying to figure out what my sleeping arrangements are going to be.  Is everyone going to try to stay in the same place or near each other so we can get together and hang out Friday/Saturday night?

If anyone is looking for a place to camp their welcome to camp in our backyard. We are right in the forest off highway 42 in Paisley, there is water and electricty back by the camping area and one of the bathrooms has outside access.  We also have trail access to some smooth trails on the edge of the property. so if you would like to stay here, please PM me for directions. A coulple of my friends from south Florida our coming up for this ride so we will see you there.
