I am interested in gettin her a bike and would like to get some feedback from anyone who has a bike for their spouse or significant other. Automatic would be the best if possible. Any suggestions?

I'm building my wife a 250EX right now... I have it stripped down to frame, about to send it out for powder coat then a complete rebuild.

The only thing that I would consider a sport bike that is auto woud be a Kawi 700 v force, but its big and heavy.  If it was my wife and she wanted a sport bike I would get her a Raptor 250 if she was really petite or a Z400 if should was a "normal" size gal. The clutch isn't a big deal after about 15 min.  My 9 yr. old rides the heck out of a Z400.

as long as the wife likes it.... jump on it before she changes her mind.... but also keeo in mind that it is aonly a 250 and she will probably want to step up to something a little bigger after a few rides. you can always go with a z400 with an auto clutch setup but that adds anywhere from $600-1000 depending with what brand auto clutch you go with

does she wanna go fast or play in the mud / trails / water? That will make a huge diffence in what kind of wheelers are being suggested too.

can am ds250 is a kymco with fancy plastic and a shorter warranty that you will pay more for.
My wife has ha a Kymco 250 for 4yrs now and not 1 single issue.
It is also sold under the Arctic Cat 250.
Get her one before she changes her mind about riding though.

If you go with that 250 at least buy used and get a good deal on it. It will become boring very quickly and then you'll lose your butt when you try and sell it.

Personally, I get her a 350 4x4, unless she's very petite and athletic so she can pull herself out of mud. My son's 2007 Can-Am goes up for sale on July 12th(only after our vacation). PM me, if interested. Otherwise, we're trading it in for Renegade 500.
