I don't have a dog in this fight, but I am curious.  How is it possible for riders to run in the intermediate class, then drop down and run the amateur class on the same night?  You are either an amateur or an intermediate.  At local MX races, if you ride the B class, there is no way in hell you are going to be allowed to also ride the C class on the same night.

In past results, I have also seen Intermediate riders ride the Expert class on the same night.  How is this possible ?  Should be some kind of rules to prevent this.

Win 5 Amatuer races= You are now an Intermediate. No back stepping.
Win 5 Intermediate races= You are now an Expert, No back stepping.

It's a slap in the face to the less skilled riders to have guys from the advanced classes drop down to the lower tier classes.

Hey Good Morning Mr Parker,
It is good to hear from you again, to answer your question the problem is we need more "dogs in the fight" meaning guys like yourself that are old time racers and of course still fans of Flat Track racing to come out sign up and race!!

Most local MX races have anywhere between 100-400 riders showing up for a regular Sat night race, we average 50 so we allow the guys that are in between classes to ride more than one to allow for more track time, we do promote riders from slower classes after one full season of a points Championship, the perfect example of this is Matt Sibbick & Ray Delacqueseaux the both tied for the points Championship win in the Amateur class last yr so they are both eligible to ride either Intermediate or Expert but not Amateur.

It's all about having a good time and getting more seat time, I have not heard any complaints from the guys that are actually showing up to race, are you coming to our next race at Jasper? What class are you going to ride?

Thanks for the reply ,Mr. Mcnary.  I have no interest in riding any longer. Sold the last of my bikes recently, spares ,etc.  40 years of riding is enough.
