Need certified mechanic to fix my chinese atv

I purchased a chinese youth wildfire atv model wf150-Q2 for my sons christmas present.  Chain keeps breaking. Dealer we purchased it from says its fixed but its not. Now its sounds like its missing a tooth on the gear but they insist there is nothing wrong with it.  I have tried taking it to another dealer who sells brand name atvs and they won't touch it.  Is there a certified mechanic in the tampa bay area that knows about these machines that can give me a second opinion?  The machines are garbage and I want my money back.  Never had trouble with our honda or polaris.  Theres only one dealer in the tampa bay area that sells the wildfire atvs, and it was purchased from them, so you can imagine why I'm having trouble getting a second opinion.  Everyone in the my area knows there junk but wont back it up in writing.  Please help

Sounds like an chain alignment problem. Try Steve at Modded motorsports 727-432-0270 in st.pete. He even speaks Chinese.

Ahhh another guy burned by cheap Chinese crap.  I too am a victim but when I consider the fact that my 7 year old's cheap POS was only 1/8th of what a similar sized Yamaha was, I'll just throw the thing away and buy another.  We're on our second one in 5 years so financially, I'm still way ahead of the curve.  For little kids that outgrow them anyway, why pay THAT much more?  My son that had the first el cheapo (which inhaled the screw that held the round "butterfly?" on the lever that went through the carb) is now on a Yamaha Warrior 350 and I'm still on my Banshee.

On that note, you have to keep in mind that this is their business model.  They sell you cheap crap and can't back them up with service. I learned my lesson with that first one and the first thing I did was apply some loc-tite where that other one failed when we bought this one. (You might consider doing the same)  Another thing to think about is that these all appear (to me) to be made by essentially the same company anyway.  While they can't readily be serviced (at $50 an hour labor for 10 hours you can just buy a NEW one as opposed to paying somebody to fix it) you CAN buy stuff for them off E-bay.  Just go to E-bay and search "110cc". A new engine only looks to be about $150.00. There's a TON of crap for these things

wow i am glad to find out ebay has these parts, my gf's dad bought her a 200cc tank, like the suzuki counterpart, so many issues with these bikes, but redneck customization has brought it a long way, but no i cant get a spark, and cant find the right coil for it, so ill try ebay

Tank unfortunately went under at Christmastime as so many other businesses in our country's economic mess.   For Chinese Parts try www.parts4motorsports.com   Mike Turber who runs the business is one of the most knowledgeable folks when it comes to MIC bikes.  If you can't find the item on the site e-mail him and if anyone can get you the part, he can.        I sold MIC bikes for several years (LeBlanc Outdoors) handleing Kazuma, Tank, Redcat, Dazon and more, once you understand a $500 bike is not a $3000 bike and require a more mechanically inclined individual to keep them going, (locktite and dielectric grease are your best friends) they can be a good investment.   E-Mail me anytime and I can try to hook you up with the right parts or at least some reliable honest feedback to what you may need.    Jeff
