Took the kids fishing, it was a great afternoon. We were only out a few hours and had a nice red and 4 big trout to take home.

Very cool. I know I'm looking forward to cooler temps to do some fishing with the kids.

Nice red!  I was driving back from Tampa this afternoon and when I went past the Manatee River all I could think about was the trout and reds waiting out there.  I just recently bought a Ranger 2200 Bay and I can't wait to take it over to that coast (so far, it's been seing a lot of Keys action).  Maybe I'll be able to post a pic of my daughter with a nice red!  She caught a really nice tarpon earlier this summer but didn't have a camera.   Cry

This pic was very near the mouth of the manatee river. Caught bait and moved less than a mile and caught fish and was headed in as the sun set. Doesn't get much better.

Kudos to the Watson clan yet again.

Those kids are all as cool as they come. Fishing, hunting, riding and anything outdoors...they have it covered.   Thumbs Up

Even if their Dad's a clown.

Maybe I'll have to hook up with you, Chillin.  You can show me some of the hot spots around the river.   Wink  Our daughters are about the same age (13 and she looks like your daughter - blond hair, blue eyes and braces) and all my kids are into riding and fishing.

Thanks, I might be just a little proud of them.

Diggin, that would be great. My oldest (in the pic) is 13, my younger daughter is 11(just killed a hog about a month ago) and my son is 8 and full of chit.

When I showed my daughter the picture of chillin's, the first thing she said was "That looks just like me!"

I'd really like to check out the 'Plex sometime but it's 400 miles each way for me.  I've measured it from the Madison exit to my house.  I'm not ruling it completely out but it would pretty much have to be a coincidence that they had a feature weekend going on while I was driving by with my quads.  No offense, and I'm sure it's a great place, but I've got land in RR and SE and it's only 165 miles from home.  Maybe I can have you over to the Ranch sometime as guests if you don't own out there already.  It's a lot of fun as well with 50,000 acres.   Wink  It's also a great area to go for fishing.  There is the River Ranch Resort with direct access to the Kissimee River and Lake Kissimee is just a couple miles from the resort.  That would be really fun; meet at RR Resort, take the quads and boats, see the rodeo, do some riding and fishing.   Cool
