I didn't hear anything about "Walt Kowalski" in Gran Torino. Where's all the haters for his racist character?!? (all those gook comments) Good movie though!

That's not racist...
It hard for me tell when people are being sarcastic, serious, or joking sometimes but I guess it is just an opinion (whether the character was racist or not) nothing more. But there are plenty of people who think so.

More importantly, after the recent infidelity scandal with S. Carolina's Republican governor, it's now safe for Letterman to make jokes about Republican governors, again.
And, wasn't it just last week that a Republican Nevada senator admitted his infidelity? You can blame this all on Bob Dole for sponsoring Viagra all those years!

Thats all that mattered in the movie. I was sitting next to like 5 black guys and they loved the movie. I love how people accuse this movie of being racist, but ignore 90% of rap music that is racist and offensive on purpose.
