Some INfo about them
For those seeking a high-performance four-stroke ATV designed for pure recreational fun, Kawasaki delivers with the Mojave™ 250. Like the desert for which it is named, the Mojave 250 ATV is rugged and is built to withstand punishment so you have endless opportunities for play.
The Mojave 250 gets its power from a high-output,
liquid-cooled 249cc four-stroke single-cylinder engine. Four valves actuated by dual overhead cams boost low-end torque while providing optimum breathing at high rpm for more power. The fuel mixture reaches the high compression combustion chamber through a 34mm semi-flat slide constant velocity carburetor. A maintenance free capacitor discharge ignition (CDI) with electronic advance supplies a hot spark to ignite the charge at the precise time, regardless of engine speed.
An engine balancer keeps the engine running smoothly from idle to redline for rider comfort and to improve durability by minimizing vibration-induced fatigue on engine parts.
And power delivery is further enhanced through the use of a manual clutch to aid in shifting the five-speed transmission. There's a gear for just about every situation, plus reverse. Triple disc brakes, which include a convenient parking brake built into the left hand brake lever, provide quick, sure stops.
Long-travel suspension makes riding the Mojave 250 over rough terrain a challenge, not a chore. The double-wishbone independent front suspension has nearly seven inches of wheel travel and provides a comfortable ride with a minimum of pitching and rolling. The rear swingarm with adjustable single shock boasts more than eight inches of travel.
The Mojave 250 takes on a hot new look for 2000, with its race team inspired graphics and lime green plastic. The silver alloy wheels reduce unsprung weight without compromising strength. A front bumper and skid plate add protection, and the keyed ignition switch helps prevent unauthorized rides.
Optional racks can be mounted to carry loads for casual utility or for some overnight ATV exploration. As Kawasaki's high-performance recreational ATV, the Mojave 250 is designed to please the most demanding off-road enthusiasts.
