Good Sprint phones?
«
on:
March 29, 2009, 12:06:20 AM »
Hi, Im about to get a Sprint plan and need a phone. I want one of their rugged and durable ones. And I want to be able to use the internet on it, use the NASCAR and NFL things, and want it to play music.
Im looking at the :
Motorola Renegade V950
Samsung Z400
Motorola i580
Motorola i880
Motorola Buzz+™ ic602
Anyone have experience with these or other good Sprint phones?

i have the i580 just got it about a month ago, been using the i530 for years,
the i580 is nice, i did google search on reviews from the i580 and the renegade950( not good reception and the batt doesn't last) the renegade is just a ruged version of the razor phone.
the i580 had awsome reviews. I didn't check them for any of the other phones cause they don't feel as rugged as the 580\
just my .02 cents

Just to clear a few of your comments, the v950 is a Sprint (CDMA) phone and the 2 way radio works on the EDVO network. So being thats a Sprint phone and doesnt have to locate the tower very few minutes like the Nextel phones, the battery last a long time. Which phone are you saying does have good reception?

the user reviews i read online said that the v950 had poor signal and that the batt didn't last the whole day.
it was not just one review but the majority of them all said the same.
I have the I580 and don't ever have a signal problem where as my wife with a sprint has had a few places that her phone had no or lil signal and my nextel had full signal.
I also know of alot of people with other carriers that have no signal in croom and I always have a good signal in croom!!!!
I was looking at the v950 cause i was havin problems with incoming txts on the nextel(but is fixed now). Didn't like the fact that the outside screen and camera screen are exposed compared to the i580 where they are recessed in a lil.

It's basically a razor in a thinner case and a new name so imo no, its not that good.

Not true, Sanyo phones on Sprint are SOLID, as are alot of other ones. Just avoid the flashy hip junk they crank out cheap to please the teenagers.
