Is any body severely addicted to Chipotle (The Burrito Place) like I am..?

Just curious because it seems like a lot of people are becoming this way, at least around me.

Yes, I worked there for a year and a half as a service manager...so I'm addicted.  I like the new store by ikea 136th and 595 Smiley, and I opened the weston one on griffin and weston rd, and the coral springs one...and I worked at boca and boynton (they had me all over the place..."fixing problems" they call it)

Haha, no way, I live in west davie off of 14th street and 136th so the ikea and weston rd. are both like 2-3 miles away... I kinda strayed from the weston road one once the ikea one opened they are much better, weston is starting to skimp on the food and service majorly!!

I hope your not referring to Moe's mondays..... That place is horrible, but if you made a "chipotle monday" thats awesome..
As for the whole Mcdonalds thing, they were contracted initially to get chipotle going basically fronting money to expand and then chipotle dropped mcdonalds and is a private company now, just owing mcdonalds the moneys borrowed... That's basically the gist of it, maybe jrpro130 can fill us in a little more..?

Moes is terrible...

Anyway...yes you are right.  McDonalds gave Chipotle the money to start the business.  They fronted the money needed to build new resteraunts, train new staff, etc, basically get itself up to the point that it could live on its own.  They are now seperate from eachother, have only been so for a couple years.  The money is totally seperate.

Don't get things twisted though, McDonalds did not help in any way with recipies, etc.  All the Chipotle meats are naturally raised, no hormones, etc...ALL NATURAL.  They have a TEAM of people dedicated to JUST finding the best meat and keeping it that way.  They are the single largest buyer of avacados (for guacamole), and everything except the beans/carnitas/barbacoa, is made in house.  Everything is made fresh every day (unlike Moe's), and stays fresh.  You should never be tasting food that is not perfectly fresh right off the grill, and thats how it's supposed to be.

I agree, Weston is SLACKING very bad, I don't go there anymore, I go to the coral springs store all the time, I'm 2 mins away from it, that is my store!

Anyway, I forgot a lot of stuff about the company, but theres most of it, I know a lot of stuff since I did manage there, but I forgot some of it...mind is in a different place now.  Great company, great food, what more to ask for?

moes is like taco bell...to the T.  They use almost the same stuff...moes has SHREDDED CHICKEN...chicken shouldn't be shredded! If you see how chipotle is cooked, you should love it.

you get steak all the time, steak=spicey=pooooo

Well thats because Moe's steak is probably genetically engineered dog meat.... hahaha.. Seriously you guys have no idea how many times I have argued chipotle over moe's.... Moe's is and always will be garbage, and you know why, just like jrpro said there stuff isn't fresh, and you can taste it! I'd rather pay $10 for a burrito I will thoroughly enjoy and know what is going into my body than spend $5 on an somewhat-upscale taco-bell. Just my .02..

Moes is more expensive than chipotle FYI.

chicken burrito is 6.04-6.12 depending on taxes, with a drink it's 7.41 IIRC
moes is 8.xx for a meal, which I'm not counting the chips bc they give you 5 whole chips and 10 crunched up half eaten ones...

moes is GARBAGE, you can't even compete...IMO it's not competition...

Probably the most accurate, to the point answer on this forum in a week..... Well when I go I get Double meat half carnitas and half steak and guacamole... It's just worth it to me.

This is where you are at fault my friend. I pick Chipotle over Moe's simply because the food quality is much higher and it tastes sooo much better. I did not choose Obama, and yes I did notice the bandwagon effect taking place. You know whats very funny, Moe's has that bandwagon effect, I go to college in Orlando (Student body pop. is 75,000+) and trust me when I say this moe's is a follow-the-leader kind of place.  I am definitely not the kind of person to take sides for the fact of the matter. I truly believe Chipotle is the better of the two. So much more effort is put in on Chipotle's part, moe's just kinda seems to get bye because a bunch of young kids at the highschool say "lets go to moe's" no joke I have heard this in person many times.... It worked for obama, it works for moe's its just basic marketing skill (it's called hearsay).. Notice how Chipotle doesn't have any drastic promotions to bring in customers like Moe's does?? Its because the people who go to Chipotle do so on a regular basis.. Touche 4X4, for you are the sheep in the herd.

Did I just see people fight over a burrito joint? Then turn it into a political war?

How the hell does that happen?

NEVER been able to myself Sad

In the year and half I worked there, 2 people did dos burritos, and 1 person did tres!

there is no arguing the food quality, I don't care who you are.  If you like moes over chipotle, might as well go to taco bell, it's CHEAPER (moes IS more expensive than chipotle) and same food quality.  Sorry I just don't even see moes as competition.  Maybe the 2 I went to absolutely suck, I'd go and try another one, but I just don't stand for shredded chicken and some yellow dried out plain jane rice...and out of a bag guacamole with 5 whole chips and 10 crunched chips...

Personally, I prefer Moe's...  but I I like tofu, and Chipotte's veggie buritto is, well just veggies.  Also, Chipette's has no kids meals, and well, I have kids.

You can get them single tacos, small/large quesodillas, or any variation of anything you can immagine there.  Most kids we served love the small quesodillas with a little bit of chicken or beef in them.  Kids meals just aren't put on the menu, there IS a small menu for kids (about the size of two business cards) that is behind the register or cook area that they WILL give you, you just have to ask, which I disagree with, and I tried to change that but they didn't want to have any of my opinion)

I must agree with the veggie, just rice, black beans, fajitas, guac, and your salsas...no tofu.
