He said in an 1/8 mile. You were probably wide open a lot longer than an 1/8th mile.

Just to give you an idea of what a 450 with a pipe can do, I ran my YFZ on the 1/8th in Immokolee and got a 9.3 at 72.
But you can have that with some extensive engine mods... but your bike wont be the same for off road anymore.

Also if you get the launch down you can pick up some time.

It would also help to take a dump just prior to your race. Every little bit of weight loss helps.

If you're going to pull the head, you might as well put in a higher compression piston. You are 3/4 of the way there already. If you don't want to run race gas stay at 12:1.

If you are running stock suspension take all the rebound and all the preload off of the rear shock might make it a little softer and suck up some of that energy when you are launching it. PRACTICE your starts and you will see improvement for sure.

It's a Z400 with a big bore kit. I would guess it still has a carb.

Wow, thats a long list of mods.
The only mod that I had to do to run alcohol was to buy a Rhino
. that bed will hold a large cooler with plenty of alcohol for a long day of idiot watching.

One other bit to help in the suspension dept. Take a tie down strap or ratchet strap and use it to compress your front suspension all the way down.
