Could some one give me any suggestions on a good area north of Lake Okeechobee. I would like to get closer to the north part of Florida. I need to be able to work also thats why I have not moved next to brooksville which is my ideal choice and by ideal I mean Croom is there. I spoke seriously to my wife about moving today cause I hate Miami!!!!!!. This county (Dade) has truly no recreational activity other than the typical (baseball, soccer, boating,). This if you compare Miami to other areas of the country it truly sucks!!!!  I cant see why any tourists would consider this a vacation travel destination other than the weather when its really cold up north. Please help with any suggestions. I GOTTA GET OUTTA HERE!!!!!!!!!!!

the tourist come for south beach not to rent a house in the city. What type of activities are you looking for that you cant do down here? besides riding a atv legally.

At this point $900 a week is awesome pay, I dont care much for the mud ridin cause I like the dry trails like Croom. give me some details where this area is to talk it over with the wifey and I can put my house on the market and maybe get enough for it to buy lunch for the ride up there.

Not sure what he's talking about because actually, the Tampa Bay area is great. (Then again, he's a 16 year old kid too) Lots of jobs, good housing prices and a beautiful area to boot. Downtown Tampa is like any other large city but, compared to Miami, it's real nice.

Again, the job market is stable here and home's are affordable yet, holding their value much better than places like Englewood and North Port, etc. With you work history and job set skills, you'll have no problem.
