With everything going on the way it has been lately I can't help but to sit back and think about things I miss.  With the cooler weather approaching I would like nothing more than to be sitting by a fire listening to it, and the crickets (and NOTHING else) with it being cool enough to enjoy the fire looking at the full moon wishing my worries away.  I was just wondering if I am the only one missing the simple things in life?  If not, what do yall miss?

Two of my classes were cancled today, so I got home very early to a nice cool day. I got to wash my truck today, so I get to scratch that off the list of things I miss  Smiley

I use to bring 3 shirts everyday.  One at break, one at lunch, and one for the ride home.  I just delt with the fact I was wet to my knees some days.

My ankle did the same thing. It swell up like a baseball. The doctors told me a ligament attached to my fibula was stretched, resulting in a piece of the bone being chipped away.

I think I still have my old crutches if you need it. I'm pretty sure all they'll do is x-ray to be sure its a fractureit, and brace it.

Does it look like this yet? This happened on tuesday. No fracture but look at it now. Still swollen and bruised.

Yep been there done that...  Believe it or not, a serious sprain can do that, trust me I know...  The bad thing about serious sprains, the are almost worse than broken bones.  One they take a long time to heal, and two, it will now always be very easy to sprain it again.

I did that once at Peace River years ago, I had previously sprain my ankle really bad, and then one day just stepping down from my motorhome, my ankle gave way and that is exactly how my foot looked by the next morning.

I feel the pain! A few months ago i was jumping over a fence and I landed on a step with half my foot.  I sprained my ankle pretty bad and like you said Jess ,my ankle was literally the size of a baseball.

Hey Miami....  Just a mom type of question.... Roll Eyes

Have you gone to the doctor though and get it checked?

And you should really keep it wrapped, and elevated.

Also once it goes down some, you should get an ankle brace to give the tendons and possibly the ligaments, a chance to heal.  Judging by the pic, you surely tore some tendons, and just quite possibly a ligament or two...

Adding to the list of things I miss... this weather definately brings back memories of things that are hard if not impossible to do anymore. I miss going up to Salt Springs with a ton of people from here (too many to make a list and I dont want to forget anyone, lol)... I miss camping at Rodman or the place down the road from there... spending all day riding and all night drinkin and laughing til it hurt. I miss being able to ride and it not cost me an arm and a leg, haha. I miss riding all day in Ocala then stopping by Blue Sink to swim - and NOT have to worry about glass or God knows what else, lol.

I miss so many things.... Like riding my horses....  Being able to ride atvs right off US-27, being able to camp right off Alligator Alley...  I wish my kid could have what I had when I was a kid, we had so much more freedom to do things.  Now everything just seems so restricted.

Oh yea, one more thing that I miss....

I miss the days of not so long ago,
where atvfloria was the place to go.
Come on to chat with your friends
Oh many hours would we spend.
So many times I would laugh what I read
I couldn't even go to bed.
Those were some great times,
and those places are so hard to find.
Who could ever forget those baby harp seals,
This was place use to be real.

But like everything else it seems
it just a fading dream.
People have surely changed on this site,
Seem to always be looking for a fight.
Now you must watch what you post,
Although it dont seem to offend most.
A different place back in the day,
Which is sad to say.
No one ever really judge anyone
We just laughed at everyone.

As an ole freind would always say,
I clearly remember to this day.
Lighten up Francis!

I miss being in second grade on Saturdays in North Miami when I was allowed to ride my bicycle miles away from home to play football without any fear. Try letting children do that today in any major city!

I had an Xray. Nothing is broken. Its no longer painful to walk. I wear a brace they gave me and then I will get one of those slip on ones for a while. I elevate it and put ice every 15 minutes.

Well, my ankle the swelling went down, i think its just a bad sprain. I can't stand or put pressure on it. Using my dad's crutches from when he blew out his knee. I can move my ankle a bit. Can't walk.... and can't leave the house.... ugh this stinks....
