Who all are planning on attending the races in Milton & Baker, Fl at the end of this month. Hoping there is a strong Thunder Bowl Speedway regulars attendence. Would be cool to "represent". Trying to get decals from Richard in time for the event. General census so far is that the McNarys, myself, John Rourke and I think I remember Brady indicating that he was planning on the trip. Do they actually plan on having quads and micros race on the big track? Can t even imagine that . Hell.....I am going to be culture shocked and my bike is made for that kind of a track.

It's not a national like the EDT's for the quads. It's an AHRMA national for the AHRMA bikes (vintage bikes). He will also be racing late model bikes, quads, and micro sprints. It is flat track & TT racing.
Friday night - 1/2 mile flat track @ Milton
Saturday day- TT @ Baker
Saturday night- flat track @ Baker.

The Baker track is approx. 1/4 mile. Roughly the same as Thunderbowl, but with shorter straightaways, and wider more sweeping corners.

Has anyone looked at the AHRMA website lately? According to their schedule, the two nationals have been moved to a different venue, in Loxley, Alabama on November 1st. TT during the day, Flat track in the evening. This may have an effect on rider turn out for Mclendons events, especially in the vintage classes. Maybe a call to Rob to be sure everything is a "go" would be in order.

I spoke to the race promoter Rob McLendon today regarding the venue changes for this race.
The Friday night 1/2 mile flat track race is still being held at Milton. The Saturday TT and Saturday night flat track events have been moved from the Baker track to another facility in Alabama called Deep South Speedway.
Here is a link to the track:
http://deepsouthspeedway.com/index/index.php?option=com_contact&task=view&contact_id=8&Itemid=73
He told me this facility is right off of I-10, about 30 minutes farther than the Baker track. The Alabama track is advertised as a 4/10 mile, high banked car track, which would be similar in size and banking to Eastbay Speedway in Tampa.  I do not know the exact shape of the track. It's a car track though, so it should long sweeping corners, and be plenty fast on bikes and quads. They do not currently have a TT track at this facility, so I would assume they are going to add something to their infield for this race.

Rob,

Thanks for putting on a great event. The track and staff were great. We had a blast even though we were not geared for that MONSTER of a track.

Shawn glad to finally put a face with a name.

Wayne
