We will try to get up there for one of the days.  If we like it, can the $10 day fee apply against the membership fee?

Darrel::  my son has a small atv but has a 110cc engine in it.   I noticed you said his class needs a 90cc or smaller.  Could he at least run in the class and not worry about points or anything.
. Youth 90cc or less (ages 9-11), 2 Laps

Hows the tractor comming along.  Oct 26th is the day I need it for a hay ride.  Let me know..

Classes are not rigid at this point it will depend upon participation #'s.
If additional classes need to be added or classes need to be adjusted we can do that. Thanks for the input and look forward to any suggestions.

Fourtrax, yes you can come out and ride all day for $20.00. We will be open Sat. Dec. 6th you can ride from 11:00 am til dark.

Backinsaddle, name not stolen there are only a few hundred motoplex's in the U.S.A. and I believe there's is Florida and ours is Hurricane I think that is different. We also have a speedway, if we left the name Hurricane Speedway you might think you would be riding an oval all day. So if you had not stolen your screen name from an Aerosmith song you would be welcome.

that's o.k., i know my ethics.  to come on a forum that already has a florida motoplex advertising, and to change your name from hurricane carting to add motoplex to your name is pretty low.  of the millions of words in the english language you choose that one.

as for my username, if i ever start making money from it, i'll call aerosmith first and get permission

What part of Florida and Hurricane are the same? There is also a Motoplex in Jasper that has been there for over 20 years. So did someone copy that name. There are many motoplex's as there are many speedway's and raceway's sorry you have a problem with track name's.

I agree. Man are we a little touchy about the cherished temple you all call the plex. You google Motoplex and you get 53,200 hits.

did I insult you frank?  I met you several times and used to like you.  Temple plex???  more like caring about someone that's done a lot for riding in florida and the name recognition he's building.  and it's funny, when i do a search on "motoplex florida" i get one hit for a cart racing course in jasper named crossroads motorples, with an R...that's close to 53,000 in this state isn't it?  NO, it's 1 and only 1, but i admire your math, i must be a multibillionare based on your math.  How about Florida Dirt Racing or Florida Powersport Complex, hell I can think of hundreds of names

No you didn't insult me. I just thought it was a cheap shot at Hurricane Motoplex. I said google Motoplex not Motoplex Florida. You google motoplex like I said and you get 53,200 hits.

Used to like me that's funny. I know who my friends are.

Can't we all just get a long?

yes, we can get along.  I admire this person for opening another track in florida, but it sure is coincendental that now he's on this website, he adopted the name motoplex.  sounds like riding on coattails to me.  and who cares how many motoplexes there are in the country.  there's only one real one in florida, it's not like we have people all over the country coming here to ride, so our market is florida, not all of google, just motoplex florida.  Revise your search adding florida and see what you get.

Now the real motoplex is getting pro riders from around the country coming to ride there.  When they say we're going to the motoplex in florida, which one are they talking about?  If the guy want's to man up and change his name, he will get my business.  he wants to confuse people into thinking he's part of florida motoplex, well he's low life and he won't get my $'s.

let me ask you, are people going to say "let's go to the hurricane"  or "let's go to the plex"?  i bet plex.  matter of fact, most of the people that say they're going to the one in madison say "let's go to the plex"  again, cheap way to jump on someone elses name recognition and the money spent developing it.

Sounds unethical to me. I will stick with the original plex and in my mind the only PLEX ! I only been there a time or two but after meeting the owner and crew there is no other place with their hospitality and concern for each customers satisfaction and I have ridden all over from as far south as L-cross to as far north as Hatfield-McCoy and all places in between. I will avoid the hurricane because I feel this person/owner planned to gain off of the Real Motoplex's name when he chose to take the same name.

I can understand some people being upset with the name. Like it or not from a business point of view it's a good idea. I wouldn't want to see anyone fail that is trying to give us a place to ride. Good luck to both places!

No, I disagree, it's not a good business idea it's cheating and I have no respect for those who need to plagarize.  Look at what Paul has done, he has reached out to anyone and everyone to give people the opportunity to enjoy riding as much as he does.  He started a rally with Dreth, he has worked with the state, he built Motoplex and has worked with multiple entities throughout the state including other track owners (thunderbowl, amp extreme), FTR, SSQSA, and I'm sure the list goes on.  He brings in pro riders to teach those who want to learn.  Name me one other person that cares as much and has spent as much of his own time and money and to this day, years later, still probably has not made much if any profit.  I'll bet if you can name any, the list is very short.

I'll tell you, this guys only motive is profit.  He knew what he was doing when he choose that name.  Based on his response to me that I'm not welcome because of my screen name, his customer service sucks as well.  He doesn't care about the sport, he cares about his wallet.  Like I said, he mans up and recognizes his mistake he'll get my business; based on some of the feedback I've gotten from other users, he won't get their business either.

i live south of you and i have made it there several times.  so lets see, what's worse, you're too cheap to spend the gas to drive north, or Paul's too cheap to spend a couple million more to buy land down south to make you happy

matt, I didn't come here to start with you.  You want a ride to the real Motoplex, I will invite you to ride with my family once we start traveling again.  Like I said, I admire the guy for opening the place I just think he made a poor decision in choosing that name.  I absolutely understand your position, but I’m 20 years older than you and make financial decisions based on moral and ethical standards.  I travel to Jacksonville to have my kids atv’s wrenched on because the dealer/mechanic has been honest, trusted, and always looking for my interest.  Same thing with the Motoplex.  When I was 20 I made decisions based on what I can afford.  Now that I’m older I look at life differently and  I would give up a weekend of riding and wait till I had the money to travel to Madison before I would visit this guy, and there are a lot of us that feel the same way.  Good luck to this place, honestly, but me and my family of 4 riders, who normally ride at least 2x per month, will not be patronizing “Hurricane Motoplex”.  To all those that do, enjoy
