The media is already jumping on the ban-wagon...

They are reporting how the poor people are standing in lines at Gas Stations.  They interview this one woman w/3 kids, one being an infant.  And another guy how is totally blasting the State of Texas for not having an gas.  And then anchor goes on to say, oh what are these poor people going to do, they need gas, they need foor, and water....  Ah, excuse me, how about saying....  This is a PERFECT example that residents should do what Goverment Officials tell them to do:

1)  If you are in a evacuation area, GET OUT.  Cuz the time and resources that will spent on getting you out AFTER the storm is going to hamper recovery efforts for the entire region!

2)  If you are NOT in a evacuation area, and decide to stay:  BEFORE the storm you must have enough gas, water, and food for 72 hours hours (that is 3 days) after the storm!  Not 3 hours!

There is no reason why people should be lined up at Gas Stations just after the storm hits.  They had lines yesterday, and now again today.  People don't prepare, then they blast Goverment Officials for not helping them...  You don't prepare, you reep the consequences..

Here we go again...  How nobody was there to help these poor innocent victims....

Now they are coming against FEMA, asking them where are they at.  As FEMA reminded them, it has been less than 24 hours, this is why we ask that you be prepared for 72 hours..  As FEMA further indicated most of the major roads are impassable.

Media reports local officals will hold FEMA accountable, going to "hold their feet to the fire".  Hey at the same time, why don't you hold your citizens accountable...

There is no excuse not to have water, ice, and gas this soon after a storm....

I would need a least 10 bags of ice to keep my keg cold, that should do it. Tongue

Yea, you would think the good ole boys in Texas would atleast have enough beer....   Wink

I tell you what, I don't play...  Heck during Hurricane Season, I always keep extra supplies.  The way I look at it, you can always drink water, and can always use gas...  I rather be stocked up, then waiting in long lines.  If one is out there threatening So Fla, I am at the store getting extra supplies, and filling up the gas...  Generator already full, and have plenty of gas in the garage....  No storm, cool, plentry of gas for a weekend ride, along w/some extra water.... Oh yea, also make sure plenty of beer too.... Wink
