I actually witnessed a gator snag a hog off the bank of a creek that runs off the withlacoochee up in yankeetown.that was a good 12 footer and he was quick the hog was probably around 100 lbs. or so he never knew what hit him.it was pretty cool to see it but it was also a little scary cause we were in a canoe only about 20' away.

Yeah, it happens quick.
They just had a German Shepard die and make the news today from a gator bite it received a couple weeks ago.
It had been bit in the head breaking it's jaw and something else, but I think what actually killed it was the bacteria from the gators mouth??
Maybe someone can verify or clarify?

we used to live right on the withlacoochee river I had a dog that came up missing about a month later a trapper caught an 11'8" bull gator right by our house and they cut it open sure enough there were dog bones in his belly.

Kind of. They are in the river behind me, but not that big. There are a ton of hogs around here, too.  Might have to chain one of those gators up outside to keep the hogs from rooting my place up.  Cheesy
