as some of you know from my other thread, i will be building a blaster for my uncle. its going to be a pretty bad ass blaster. i am sending the jug out for porting tomorrow, and im still looking for an lrd pipe. i already have +2 a-arms on the way as well as a set of 18" razr rear tires. i will be getting a g-force axle, reeds, jetkit, and still looking into getting the carb bored. also will be getting nerfs, grab bar, and handle bars. i will be painting the rims black, getting a white and black with a little bit of red graphics kit and painting the hood white(maybe) and we aren't sure yet but i may powder coat the frame black. also getting a 14 tooth front sprocket and 38 tooth rear. im sure im leaving something out but heres some pics. just started tearing it down today, i will update as it gets built up

starting out with a well used bone stock 2003 or maybe 04 blaster

the tear down begins

is it just me or does this slide look kinda trashed? its smooth but it looks like there was some kind of coating thats worn off

o yea, forgot, its getin a clutch too...

tell em what ya think, give me ideas on graphics, fender cuts, ideas on anything, advice on parts, ect.

Looks good so far. I wouldn't paint the rims, no matter what paint you use or how many coats, it will always chip off. lol I know from experience. Make sure you get 20" front tires too or it will look goofy. And you might as well just get a maier colored hood since it will hold up and is not very expensive. just my $.o2

i want the lrd bad, but the toomey is so easy to find a smokin deal on... i painted the rims on the golf cart with duplicoler metelcast paint and it will not chip off, and it goes through hell. chipped black paint looks better than chipped factory silver painted steel wheels with rust spots...

i need to tell the place thats porting it what pipe i have tomorrow lol, so i need to find a deal or make a decision soon

also im lookign into putting the stock heel guards off of my 400 on it since those heel guards obviously ain't gonna cut it, not sure how it will work out, gonna need to get the tires and axle on before i can tell whether it will look right or ill just run no heels and nerfs...

and yes, my stock z400 heel guards will literally bolt right to the blaster pegs with a very small easy custom bracket.

... nothing lol

maybe ill look for a set of stock shocks off of something with the same length. its a 13 year old girl that will be riding this quad btw. i just wana make it fast becasue thats just what i want to do whether it be a great idea or not lol... im not going to do a project and not touch the moter! thats just not right

mainly i just want it wide and low so that she doesn't flip it over. she already has fliped it over and that would explain the new set of handlebars on the way lol, so im trying to make it more safe, she doesn't ride fast enough to need high end suspension but she doesnt ride slow either and is still perfectly capable of flipping it over so wide and low is the way to go. as for the moter, i just want to have fun with it and im sure her dad wants to also

Ok. You should invest in a kill switch too, so when she does fall off the quad it doesnt run away

I'm pretty sure they make them for a blaster.

The level of customization on these graphics are crazy. They had a few for blaster models.

Do her huge favor and invest in some wheel spacers. Unless you wanna go with aftrmrkt arms and a longer axle. Those lil boogers are way too narrow. Stabilize that lil bike and its a whole different machine.

not to bash you, but you should read before you post lol, as iv already said, i ordered some +2 a-arms and im getting an axle, im thinking the +2 isnt enough, maybe ill add a small 1" spacer on top on the fronts and adjust the axle out 2 more inches...

 My first one
I use to like hooking up Blaster's. I had two of them modded. I would do the frame in metallic red.

My second one

actually, its gonna be a 34mm rob...

EDIT: never mind it is a 30mm, sorry

theres a lot of 2 complete snowmobile carbs on ebay for 34$ buy it now. one is a 34 that ill throw on the blaster, and ones a 38 that ill put on the golf cart and sell the 36 thats on the golf cart as well as sell the 26 thats o the blaster. i should end up making money since im getting the 38mm for free since my uncles paying for it... they are very basic carbs, just like the one i have on the golf cart, Mikuni round slide snowmobile carbs with no choke... really easy to work on, tune, keep clean, ect. they are probably off of late 70s/early 80s sleds is my guess

the thing should scream with porting, reeds, carb, 2 stage reeds, and lrd right side pipe, and hopefully ill mill the head too.

the tires are on the rims, and the a arms are on awaiting the knuckles becasue i need to have the knuckles drilled for the bigger ball joints. my drill gun just wont do it, need a drill press. the project is pretty much on hold until he pays me the 500$ in parts he owes me for the a-arms, tires, porting and spray paint and stuff. after that all it needs is an axle, graphics kit, the reeds and intake manifold for bigger carb, and all the little stuff like bumber, grab bar, handlebars, nerfs, sprockets, ect.
