its all what you perceive "rice" to be, I'll admit an sti is stretching it but while there not on the level of hondas and the jap crap, theres still something about that wing and the way a 4banger sounds that makes em seem lame to me. i guess i should find a new word to describe it so i don't offend you import lovers lol.

Juan can back this up, I am a domestic person for life.  I LIKE paying that $65 every 4days to fill my truck lol.  I hate imports with a passion.  BUT, I know what IS rice and ISNT rice, and an STI is far from it.  A friend of mine has one and it looks awesome for an import, granted he took the rear wing off.  But they are rally cars that are AWD... they actually have the excuse to need that big wing for traction.  Worst part is that its a quick little car, with the right tune it can run mid 11's in the quarter mile. Huh

I do like how Dodge came out with the SRT4 though, kills them Subys Cheesy.  I might be making the switch to one of them bad boys.

Might be, I know he's on tamparacing.com.  He uses Supraman as his username, yet never owned a Supra before lol.  He had the blue Civic SI that got totaled, then got this.

Nah, I would say a mid 12 is possible. My Lightning could have ran a mid 13 with a tire. Its been done before with others. A STi launches better and is a bit quicker.

His has some work done to it, I'm not sure what exactly though. But there is a guy I guess that has the same car and mods, with the right tune he was able to run mid-11's with no problems.  I think his car may have an upgraded turbo versus the stock one, but once again I'm not sure lol.  I dont hangout with the kid really, but I know his brother.

I was in disbelief also until I saw some of these cars perform lol.  A whipple cobra pushing 700RWHP on slicks only runs a mid to low 10.

probly more like 14s bone stock, your gonna need more boost to get in the 13s with a lightning, with a smaller pulley and a tune then yea that would put her in the 13s.

no it will definitly help the mpg, theres no doubt, a leeking exhaust gives the 02 sensor a false lean reading so the ecm compensates making you pig rich then the plugs go black, then your 02 sensor fouls, further screwing up your ecms perception of how your moter is actually running which all leeds to pig rich black smoking like a diesel horrible gas millage. im not expecting miracles, but 11 mpg would be a good number to shoot for until i start tuning...

Thats true you should get 11 without a prob. mine leaks on the pass. side and the o2 is on the driver side so it dont hinder it really.

thats not really a big deal, my 02 sensor was literally right behind the massive leek. once i actually get tuning, i should have no problems with around 14mpg with the gear setup i have, mostly due to the fact that i will be tuning from a wideband 02 sensor so i will actually tune it to run at 14.7:1 air fuel ratio, not some piss poor narrow band 02 sensor reading that may get you close to that but always on the rich side... the pre 94 1 wire 02s are the worste,  at least i have a 3 wire 02 sensor trimming up the fuel map for now.
