No the beach is not nude anymore lol

Wanted to share the event!

Anyhow, a group of people went with us to the beach. Me, my ol lady, brother in law + his girlfriend and a few others that brought along kids that are all under 11 yrs old. Well, everyone is having a good time, kids are playing in the water and next thing u know the rip current slowly took them farther out. 3 fisermen heared them call for help.(the parents of the children was not watching them like they should have been) 1 kid got out first and ran down to the group and said that the 3 men need help, which was to tired to drag the others on against the strong currents so the basicly stood like a statue holding the kids waiting for more help. Apparently my brother in laws girlfriend got there first to help but mis-judged the strength of the current and was not a strong swimmer and she then got sweept away in the current. I ran in the water not knowing how bad the current was. I swam out farther and got close to one guy with a 6 yr old kid, which i was going for my b-in-laws girl but the guy gave me the kid and said DUDE i cant hold him anymore and at the same time i here the girl calling me for help. I was calling her name but there was nothing i could do b/c i allready had a kid in my arms. That was the most worst feeling i ever felt with someone call me for help knowing i could do nothing about it, if i would have tried to get to her with the kid in my arms also, i think we all would have been gonners. So i keep on swimming towards shore inching forward running out of energy.The boy was dead ass tired so he was not much help. I was getting tired fighting the current and i started to realize that i may not be-able to do it so when waves were coming in i would push the boy into the wave to let it carry him in it and i would swim to him, grab him and repeat it a few more time and finally i started feeling the bottom with my toes, and a few minutes later i was able to walk against the current. By that time i had no energy left in me whats so ever. The mother took the kid from me and i could not even walk no more, i had to crawl to the shore. My brother in law was able to bring his gf back in also but keep in mind , his girl is 225+lbs and he is 300+, i dont even know how he did it but he barely mad it also. I sat on the beach for about 40 min getting my energy back and my b-in-law sat for about 1 1/2 hrs. All in all nobody got hurt, just scared shitless along with my self.

After all that , ILL TELL U What, im ready for some mud this weekend, enjoying the water in the woods with no current and my four wheeler doing some floating.

Who is going to holopaw or 5a, i will be there this weekend.

Good thing you're OK.

Don't you know to swim parallel to the shore when there is a rip current? Then when you get out of it you swim in.

Yes i know but when i got the kid, and trying to wrench him in i was allready whooped, i would not have made it if i swam paralel b/c i was tired. So i went for it.

me and my nephew and niece got caught in a rip current at daytona. I knew enough to swim parrallel to the beach but they didn't I finally got them to follow me in.you are right about using every ounce of energy you have even swimming parrallel I didn't even have enough energy to stand up.glad everyone is ok.

playalinda is the last stretch of undredged beach in Florida. It is the farthest point out in the Atlantic as for beaches.
It is also known for extremely bad rip currents due to this.
I used to surf there in the early 90's a lot or whenever the shuttle was not sitting on the pad because it is too close or as a nasa worker put it "within rifle distance of the beach".
Glad you all made it out alive, could have been much worse.
Playalinda is not IMHO a beach for kids to be playing in the water.

Yeah the parents of the kids figured that out after that situation. I am a pretty strong swimmer and that current almost got the best of me. A few people also yelled at the parents for not keeping a closer eye on them, they almost kicked the bucket and so did the rescuer's along with myself trying to get that 6 yr old in but it all worked out. Got a good story to tell now hehe.
