Cool My name is Aaron and I am the main atv racers for the atv races held at the collier county fair grounds demolition derby.  The next race is April 12, 2008 and I am in need of some atv racers. The only thing that is needed ( but not recommended) is nerf bars and a kill switch. Most racers know why those are needed. If ANYONE (16+) is intersted in racing, please e-mail me at Redneck4ever31@aol.com. I know it is short notice but don't have very many people to race right now. If I get a lot of racers that enjoy racing at the fair grounds than i was told that they will build us a bigger and better track, either flat track or motocross. Please let me know any information about people who ould like to join. Ooh... There is no cost to race it is free of charge but does cost $10.00 for each pit crew member. Hope to get some racers!!! Shocked Grin

Thanks

Aaron, it's me Fred with the YFZ. Terry called me and said you were in some need of help. I can't make it out because I dont have a battery in my bike.

I really hope they put a MX track out here. I know we would have atleast a constant 10 riders there on the weekends just from us locals.

Good luck man.

We need a flat track in Collier County.  If you can get the rules changed to allow a Youth class, I've got 7 kids, (13-14 years old) that would run at the fairgrounds right now. There are a lot of us who travel from Naples to tracks in central and north Florida to race and would love to practice and race here in our own back yards.

Hey Ya'll, the next race will be held on August 16th,2008! THERE WILL BE MANY CHANGES FOR THE RULES AND SETUP for the races. The feature race results were not right at all and there was a BUNCH of other racers that were not happy. I'll have this dicussion with track officials when the next race is here and will provide our own score keeker so mistakes like this won't happen again. SORRY for any inconvinence that this caused and hope to see riders for the next race. Overall it was a great time and the biggest turn out that we have had. THANKS FOR EVERYONES PARTICIPATION!!!! Hope to see ya'll there! Cool

Hi, I am a retired WPSA Pro-Am Rider.  I will just happen to be in the South Florida Area that weekend.  What kind of MX track is there.  I really haven't ridden in a while so I need a week to get into shape.  What is this track made of, clay, shell rock, mulch.loose or hard pack.  I need to know what bike to bring.  I tried to locate the track on the internet but could not find anything.  I am very interested and have 6 0r so guys who may come down for the next one. They want me to tell them how it is.

Hey, The track is hard-packed base rock. I am running my trx 450er and other guys are running 400ex,z400, yfz450s, etc. it's a tight track and only run 3rd MAYBE 4th gear on the straight aways. If you want to know anymore about it please feel free to call me 239.825.9869. if i don't answer just leave a message and i'll get back to ya. Thanks a million could use some racers when you can.

Thanks,

hey guys just wanted to thank you all for the great time I had at the event!.I met alot of cool people and I believe we all had a good time also more importantly no one was hurt other than me (my pride) haha just kidding. I didnt do so well considering all the guys had about 20 years on me and 50cc,s but I can tell you anyone interested should get a hold of Aaron Stalling for the next one. These guys are really cool and a bunch of great guys that put together in my opinion a great event. We all walked the track before the race, met for a brief riders safety meeting and all agreed. I cant thank you enough for this great memorable expierience, you guys made the 240 mile round trip worth it and I look forward to the next one. This was truly a great example of what the right people puttin on a great event is all about. I am going to do all that I can to tell others and see if together we can make this  grow and continue to be a success. This event was full of families and was really what a healthy community is all about. Again thanks for the fun,and good memories you guys were all awesome!,I really appreciate the way you guys treated me considering this was our first time meeting, you guys are all great racers in my opinon  we all won that night!

Thanks for making the 240 mile round trip to help put on a good show for the fans. Thats some kind words. As long as you had fun thats all that matters.
I had fun as well. A little mistake in the feature race almost cost me 2nd place. I don't think I would have been able to pass #7 unless he made a mistake. The races seem to be won from the hole shot and who can get through the first turn first.
Arron has been working on getting racers out there from day one. He's a good kid and very persistence. Good racer too.  :)b Good job Arron!
Unfortunately the small tight track can only hold so many quads. So to keep it safe and not confuse the scoring we can only run 8 quads at a time. Maybe one day the fair grounds might put in a mx style track and hold events like I have seen other fair grounds do.
Until then we have  a small TT style track to have fun on.

hey matt, you ,# 7 wheeler,Aaron, and all the racers were real impressive and your probably right not to many chances to pass unless a racer makes a mistake. I think you guys have a good opportunity to evolve these events and make this grow into something bigger. I hope to see you guys again in future events.

This is at the collier county fair grounds it was started as a show between the demolition derby runs now it is a race for fun and a trophy to the top 3, there are people of all skill levels, we all just run together and have fun, depending on how many people show up we do two heats and top 3 or 4 go too main, again this is depending on how many people show up. I would recommend nerfs as a first to do. riding with other bikes and no nerfs is dangerous. helmet, boots, I recommend a roost protector of some sort. and just plan to have fun, if your bike has stock suspension and width it is going to be harder to corner most of the bikes are set up to race motorcross, not all of them are, but it is still fun. and a great way to see if you want to get in to racing. If you need help with anything let me know. if you need nerfs i might have a set.

It is free to race but cost $15.00 for the pits and $10.00 for the spectators in the stands.
