i noticed at a few gas stations they took out the spring on the auto pump thing. usually it holds itself up and you need to push it down so it holds the trigger. i keep putting in more gas than i want to, it gets stuck on. has anyone else noticed this?

I think its a safety issue thing. Seems like someone even told me that they are supposed to not have them on in Florida at all, but every now and then I still see them on some. Not sure exactly.

All the new stations have them here but non of the older ones do. I just wedge my gas cap in the handle and it hold the trigger so I dont have to for 28 gallons.

How do you get more gas then you want to?  The pump should shut-off automatically when your full otherwise there is something wrong with the pump.  If you report it to the attendant and they don't close the pump then there is a number to call the state and report them on every pump.

they also took away the ash trays next to the pumps so now i just put my cigar out on the ground next to the pump.
