do they cost alot to put gas in them with oil.
Are they good all around bikes.

They are not that hard to maintain especially stock. The only difference is that you have two of everything because it is a twin. So if you foul out a spark plug you usually want to go and change both. As far as the gas oil mix it depends on what kind of oil you run and what mix you run it at. I have been running mine at 32:1 with Yamalube 2r. I use one bottle of Yamalube and mix it with 4 gallons of 93 octane for the 32:1 mixture. If you are looking for one I would be willing to sell mine for what I owe on it!!

I dont think its very hard to maintain it .. I run Bel-ray H1R in mine with 93 also .. I run it 32/1 and 28/1 sometimes ... The guy I bought it off-of was running it at 50/1 [smiley=Disapprove.gif]
also the premis I used its fully synthetic its about $12 a quart but I get it for like $9 ..
Just usually when it starts running like crap swap the plugs and your ready to go ..

Mixing the gas is easy, changing a plug here or there is easy, IF you need to do a top end, they're easy. The only pain is you ever need to rejet the carbs. There is little room to manuver(sp?) your hand around the exhaust. Alot of guys just remove the exhaust for easier access. -Mark

I have an older shee. When I got it I did as I do with most the bikes I buy. Strip it to the frame and put it back together so I know that I am the last one to have tightened, torqued or inspected every single part. May seem a bit extreme but I have yet to be left on the trail stranded with this approach to buying used bikes. It takes time patients and some know how but its well worth the effort. I don't trust my safety or my families safety to anyone but me. My shee runs like a raped ape and is extremely dependable. Use k2 and high oct fuel. THats my 2cents.

Keep an eye on the Jetting !! ( plug reading ) ..
The right side allways tends to go out first (dry up )
they BREATH ALOT !! CLEAN "Foam" Filter ....ALLWAYS !!
YAMALUBE 2R is one of the TOP 3 oils....32:1 4oz per gal.
Belray MC 1 .....GREAT OIL !!! 40:1 ....3 oz per gal .
