According to snopes I stand corrected regarding his church allowing white members into their congregation. However, that is the only thing that is incorrect ,although if you look at the percentage of the congregation you will see that it is ridiculously lopsidided.I stated that he professes to be christian but has a muslim back ground. I never said HE was a radical muslim I said he had a muslim back ground.Muslim father, radical Muslim stepfather, muslim schooling. For your information Assahallic, that's a muslim background. I also stated that he refuses to acknowledge the pledge of allegiance. He may recite it but if there is a picture of him that clearly shows he would not put his hand over his heart during the recital of it, in my book that is not acknowledging it.He DOES say that he does not know if he will go to heaven. The main focus of his church IS africa, not america and they HAVE refered to us as the whiter america. A$$ahallic, you have been coming on here for a long long time and almost every time I read a reply with your name attached to it it's in a condensending fashion. I notice you did your little snopes detective work and found that the church does accept "as minute as it may be" white people into their congregation however you convientally skipped right over the other valid points made and instead you accuse me of being an illiterate redneck? I guess if I am than it would be expected for me to walk up to you, introduce myself, "as the illiterate redneck of course" and pregnant dog slap you in the side of the forhead and stand there while you look at me like a little kid who just had his lunch money taken. Your an arrogant a$$hole and I'm 10000% positive you are one of the many internet tough guys that ridicules people via the key board because it makes you feel intellectually superior but in person you only get mouthy when you get a little buzz going only to get the above mentioned pregnant dog slapping before realizing yes you are indeed only an internet bully and nothing else. Yes ,I would say the same things to your face, and no I dont know alot about politics. I do however have an opinion and you don't have to agree with it but you should respect it instead of being a$$ahallic. I see that you moved out of state and I fully expect you to come back with a macho rebutal to my statements only because you are indeed the true bully behind the monitor. By all means please post when and if you ever intend on coming back for a visit and I promise you I will openly accept your invitiation to meet should you desire to give you the chance to prove me wrong by spewing your insults in person. I'm no tough guy I'm just an illiterate redneck that calls them like I see them. You can debate with me,correct me,enlighten me or teach me just don't insult me unless it's called for or you would do it in person, which in this case is neither.Good night buddy.
Dont let @$$holes get to you......not worth your time

Compared to Hillary or Obama, just about anyone is a better choice.
I am not against change. However, I find Obama to be extremely slated to the left...and then in only pockets that suit his agendas. The thought of the American people electing Obama sickens me. Honestly, it does.
In fact, this entire election makes me ill. One thing everyone seems to agree on is the complete lack of decent candidates on either side.

, you illiterate rednecks better pack your bags and find a better country because it looks like your not gonna like our next president. It's very obvious that some of you don't have a clue to what you are talking about so you would be better off keeping your attention on the Disney channel because that is more your speed.
I think the older voters in this country have had enough of the oil man in office he bankrupted this country. so is all your doing is to try to pick the lesser of the to evils ,if obama is elected he will end up like martin luther king in the ground
The only people that GW has bankrupted are the poor. All the big compaines making mad money

Finally an informed opinion, even though I don't agree. Tell me, did you think GW had the experience? The answer to that should be NO.
What I am saying is that ANY, I repeat ANY of the remaining 3 would be a whole lot better than what we have now. with McCain or Clinton we would be getting basically more of the same just not near as dumb, with Obama we would definitely get a big change and with the way this country has been going the last 10 + yrs, that is exactly what we need.
Oh!!!~ and Obama's 3 years in the Senate mark him as a tried and true candidate
give me a break....by the way Mr. informed Fish
what exactly has obama done to in his great tenure to allow him the most important job on this planet the President of the United States??? I'll tell you
Obama has only three years experience in the Senate, and in those three years he managed to sponsor such important bills as Senate Resolution 529, designating July 13, 2006, as "National Summer Learning Day," to the delight of children across the country.
WOW!!! change for the sake of change is not always in our best interests. In the 2006 congressional elections, the Democratic candidates promised change as a matter of fact they said within the first 100 hours that we would see them in all their glory making all their promised changes!!!!! Do you hear that its the clock still ticking 2 years later for all that change. I just hope that the informed voter will look past all the presidential rhetoric and preaching and look at expeirence and the records. We must look past the thin veil of what we want to hear on the outside and get to the meat on the inside that's where true change will come from.
Another seemingly informed post that I can respond to
.
Your point about Obamas short tenure is a good one but if you dig a little more you will find out he spent 8yrs in the Illinois state senate. Now this is a state post and not a national post but he still was getting valuable experience on how our government works. I would put up this experience against GW any day of the week, and not to mention that GW is a not the brightest bulb in the box.
And yes change for the sake of change is not always good, but I can't see how anyone could do worse than GW.
Your point about the Dems pulling the troops out of Iraq within 100 hrs of being sworn in does not really apply hear. No one person can get something done without a majority. I don't know who would have said that they would pull the troops out within 100 hrs anyway. They may have said to set a timetable to pull the troops out but even then they need the votes, which they don't have. Besides that I don't believe it is the will of the American people to pull them out within 100 hrs. The American people are just looking to get a timetable set.
Those are good points though.

I wish Huckabee had a chance, but I am afraid there is no possible way for that to happen. I like his pro-life views and his support of traditional marrage. We need someone that will deal with the problems this country has now...NOT smoke and mirrors. This country does not need another band-aid we have become morally bankrupt as a nation and is much larger than any one man or woman can fix. You can blame GW if you wish but lets not forget...we have a democratic congress. I am tired of the empty campaign lies "I will change this and fix that and you all get free $$$" same crap every 4 years just different faces telling the same lies. Put God back in our lives, focus on what made this country great and get some AMERICAN PRIDE. Stop outsourcing for cheap labor, stop illegal immigration, tax as you spend (rich spend more, poor spend less) not as you earn and BUY AMERICAN. We can have the best of the best in the white house but until this nation as a whole signs on for some serious changes and gets back to the basics this country was founded on we will continue get what we deserve. I can only pray its not a Muslim extremist or a Jilted 1st lady with blood on her hands. JMHO

Fish, maybe you should move to south Africa were you can see how great it is to have a black president. If you can make it back alive you can give an autobiography on your experience. I'm sure your views will change.

swamp, i agree with you on alot of things even though we have never met. what gets me the most on this site is when somebody like f!!aholic comes on talks about how much better he is than us dumb ole rednecks. and poliltically i definitely don't have all the answers to fix the worlds problem but if he is as great as he thinks he is, he ought to be somebody. instead f!!aholic you are on here typing sh!! you dont know about either. gwb hasn't done any worse than the rest especially the clintons.

Get it right people, we are a constitutional republic, not a democracy. In a democracy - mob rules. In our system, the electorate votes choose the president. This is not a beauty pageant. We are leaning ever so close to socialism. As far as the pledge of allegiance, I have a real big problem with my children attending the government run cesspool that we refer to as "public school". They start the day off with their hand over their heart reciting the same thing every day. They have no clue what it means. Think of the young Nazis with their hands high in the air looking at the swastika. This is just what the politicians want, good little government subjects. Throw in some ritalin for the trouble makers and they can keep everyone the same. This country is great because of the people that fought hard to defend it. Our flag has 3 colors, stars and stripes for a reason. We have a constitution and live by the rule of law. Please be good Demicans and Republicrats and don't exercise self responsibility (that's how your government wants it). Please vote responsibly for your local officials or don't vote at all. If you value your freedom vote Libertarian.

The most amusing thing about Obama is all his talk about "CHANGE" Yet he has the nerve to accept the support of TED KENNEDY?
?? Oh yeah I really see his vision for change there! You gotta be kidding me. I can't believe anyone else hasn't questioned this. Ted Kennedy and change in politics go together like an environmentalist and an ATV rider! Pretty dam pathetic, so many running for office but still no real choice for anything but the same ole same ole!

Well this is how I see it. There is a great amount of interest in this year’s presidential elections, on this site among others and everybody seems to recognize that our next president has to be a lot better than George Bush (Easy to blame one man). The Democrats are riding high with two groundbreaking candidates — a woman and an African-American — while the conservative Republicans are in a quandary about their party’s nod to a quasi-liberal maverick, John McCain.
Each candidate is carefully pandering to a smorgasbord of special-interest groups, ranging from gay, lesbian and transgender people to children of illegal immigrants to working mothers to evangelical Christians.
There is one group no one has recognized, and it is the group that will decide the election: the Angry White Man. The Angry White Man comes from all economic backgrounds, from dirt-poor to filthy rich. He represents all geographic areas in America, from urban sophisticate to rural redneck, deep South to mountain West, left Coast to Eastern Seaboard.
His common traits are that he isn’t looking for anything from anyone — just the promise to be able to make his own way on a level playing field. In many cases, he is an independent businessman and employs several people. He pays more than his share of taxes and works hard.
The victimhood syndrome buzzwords — “disenfranchised,” “marginalized” and “voiceless” — don’t resonate with him. “Press ‘one’ for English” is a curse-word to him. He’s used to picking up the tab, whether it’s the company Christmas party, three sets of braces, three college educations or a beautiful wedding.
He believes the Constitution is to be interpreted literally, not as a “living document” open to the whims and vagaries of a panel of judges who have never worked an honest day in their lives.
The Angry White Man owns firearms, and he’s willing to pick up a gun to defend his home and his country. He is willing to lay down his life to defend the freedom and safety of others, and the thought of killing someone who needs killing really doesn’t bother him.
The Angry White Man is not a metrosexual, a homosexual or a victim. Nobody like him drowned in Hurricane Katrina — he got his people together and got the hell out, then went back in to rescue those too helpless and stupid to help themselves, often as a police officer, a National Guard soldier or a volunteer firefighter.
His last name and religion don’t matter. His background might be Italian, English, Polish, German, Slavic, Irish, or Russian, and he might have Cherokee, Mexican, or Puerto Rican mixed in, but he considers himself a white American.
He’s a man’s man, the kind of guy who likes to play poker, watch football, hunt white-tailed deer, call turkeys, play golf, go 4 wheeling, spend a few bucks at a strip club once in a blue moon, change his own oil and build things. He coaches baseball, soccer and football teams and doesn’t ask for a penny. He’s the kind of guy who can put an addition on his house with a couple of friends or build a deck for his camp @ RR, drill an oil well, weld a new bumper for his truck, design a factory and publish books. He can fill a train with 100,000 tons of coal and get it to the power plant on time so that you keep the lights on and never know what it took to flip that light switch.
Women either love him or hate him, but they know he’s a man, not a dishrag. If they’re looking for someone to walk all over, they’ve got the wrong guy. He stands up straight, opens doors for women and says “Yes, sir” and “No, ma’am.” I do every day.
He might be a Republican and he might be a Democrat; he might be a Libertarian or a Green. He knows that his wife is more emotional and rational than him, and with her help he guides the family in a rational manner.
He’s not a racist, but he is annoyed and disappointed when people of certain backgrounds exhibit behavior that typifies the worst stereotypes of their race. He’s willing to give everybody a fair chance if they work hard, play by the rules and learn English.
Most important, the Angry White Man is pissed off. When his job site becomes flooded with illegal workers who don’t pay taxes and his wages drop like a stone, he gets righteously angry. When his job gets shipped overseas, and he has to speak to some incomprehensible idiot in India for tech support, he simmers. When Al Sharpton comes on TV, leading some rally for reparations for slavery or some such nonsense, he bites his tongue and he remembers. When a child gets charged with carrying a concealed weapon for mistakenly bringing a penknife to school, he takes note of who the local idiots are in education and law enforcement.
He also votes, and the Angry White Man loathes Hillary Clinton. Her voice reminds him of a shovel scraping a rock. He recoils at the mere sight of her on television. Her very image disgusts him, and he cannot fathom why anyone would want her as their leader. It’s not that she is a woman. It’s that she is who she is. It’s the liberal victim groups she panders to, the “poor me” attitude that she represents, her inability to give a straight answer to an honest question, his tax dollars that she wants to give to people who refuse to do anything for themselves.
There are many millions of Angry White Men. Four million Angry White Men are members of the National Rifle Association, and all of them will vote against Hillary Clinton, just as the great majority of them voted for George Bush.
He hopes that she will be the Democratic nominee for president in 2008, and he will make sure that she gets beaten like a drum.
Ignorant Florida Red Neck,

Funny Cableguy, I am the true bully behind the monitor but yet you are the one mentioning violence
. That is strange since I have never posted anything about violence unless someone mentioned to me first (remember I am a democrat, so I am a lover not a fighter). However for you Cableguy (you will notice I don't play with your name and cuss like a sailor to make my point) I will make an exception, but I would not waist my time making a special trip to Florida to do it. Since evidently I insulted your manhood, and the only way you will ever feel like a man again is if you fight me then come and get it. Fly out to Reno, I will pick you up we will go to a vacant lot where I will proceed to defend my honor against the computer bully. YOU WANT IT COME GET IT
The ball is in your court tough guy behind the monitor, you brought up the violence and I will truly end the discussion for you when we meet. Since you are having a time with your manhood I suspect you will come see me but if you can't do that then you will have to wait toughguy until I show up down there because I would not make a special trip down there to beat up a toothless, illiterate redneck.

To the rest of you followers. Get over it, I am a leader not a follower I form my own opinion (which some of you think is wrong) and just because it's different than yours don't get all upset. If you are a misinformed braindead moron and can't come up with a original thought then you should continue to do what people tell you. If you come up with an original thought and can express it like a normal human then I will be glad to discuss why you are so wrong.
I know for a fact that some of you agree with me but you are scared to go against "the majority" which is fine, but some day you will get enough intestinal fortitude to speak your mind even if it means that you may stand alone which is where I stand here. You don't see me running away, no, I will stand my ground and put my .02 in when ever I see fit. I will rarely start a political discussion, though I have started a few but I will alway make my self known when you get carried away with your rhetoric.

Fly out to Reno, I will pick you up we will go to a vacant lot where I will proceed to defend my honor against the computer bully. YOU WANT IT COME GET IT
You know I would never be mean to you Swamp and I would never stalk anyone, like I said before I am a "Lover not a fighter".
The ball is in your court tough guy behind the monitor, you brought up the violence and I will truly end the discussion for you when we meet. Since you are having a time with your manhood I suspect you will come see me but if you can't do that then you will have to wait toughguy until I show up down there because a special trip
I would not make down there to beat up a toothless, illiterate redneck.
Whew.... I can sleep good now. I thought you had been stalking me...mayby it was JACK-L

There are many millions of Angry White Men. Four million Angry White Men are members of the National Rifle Association, and all of them will vote against Hillary Clinton, just as the great majority of them voted for George Bush.
Swamp, Swamp swamp, good post and I agree with some of the things you said but not the above. If I remember correctly, didn't the NRA or its lackies mention something about our government being socialist

goosestepping terrorist. This certainly would not be an organization that I would support or even proclaim to be a member. I believe that we have the best gov't in the world and would never say or imply such a thing about our gov't or the police, FBI, ATF or any other one of our law enforcement agencies.

Fishy, although I almost (almost) NEVER agree with you I do however respect your "stand up for what I believe" mentality. I do also have a "if its in my head its out of my mouth" personality. I speak my mind and am brutally honest with folks (overly so...according to my wife) but I believe you should always let folks know where you stand. I think you are CRAZY for being a Oboma supporter and need to "just say NO" .... but I respect your desire to stand up for what you believe. FREAK!!! LOL

I see that you moved out of state and I fully expect you to come back with a macho rebutal to my statements only because you are indeed the true bully behind the monitor
Are you stupid? You're well versed and seem to be intelligent however you have no common sense. Why dont you go back to your original response to my first reply in this thread which is what started all of this. Take off the "I'm much smarter than you" blinders for a second. All you had to do was say that you disagreed with my political statements or prove them wrong for that matter and it would have been a dead issue but instead you have to call me an illiterate redneck because of what I believe. You were the one that started the insults which resulted in my coming back at you. The fact is that you like to demean people that have a different view than yourself and your not used to someone that doesn't back down.Well too f _ _king bad! That's what happens when you insult someone for nothing more than having their own opinion. Enough with the ridiculous comments about picking me up at the airport. You know that will never happen but man it sure sounds scary. Look,I gave you plenty of information so you can get ahold of me if you ever come to visit.I told you where I will be,I told you what I ride,I even gave you a picture of my vehicle. As a matter of fact I will even give you a picture of me so you can pick me out in the crowd. Now,the ball is in your court. For someone that portrays themself to be intellectually superior you sure are a moran.
