Separately, Howard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation's mosques. Quote: 'IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians.'

The problem here in the US is that the people in office will pass a law that protects people the are of a minority early in their term, and by the time it comes up for them to be re-elected, most voters have forgotten about those stupid issues they voted on. Just this week the commissioners in Gainesville voted to approve an ordinance that protects trans-gender people so they can use any restroom that they feel like using. There was standing room only against it and they still approved it. Thats not listening to the people and by the time their term comes up, it will be forgotten.
