This is our first time out for practice, we really enjoyed the track.

My wife cut our heads off on this one

This is John Natalie @ Hard Rock.  He is very nice and actually came over to hang out on Saturday before the race

Sorry for all of the picks just excited to be out there.  Once again thanks for the warm welcome.

Great pics. Looks like ya'll got your bikes set up pretty good! Did you put a shortened swingarm on your bike? Does your boy like the 400?

Yeah, I'd forgot that Natalie came by and hung out. He's a cool guy. That Can Am he's riding is definately different looking. He was actually going to race with us in the Open class, but after watching me practice, he told me he didn't want none of the Predator, and retreated back to Hard Rock..... LOL. Oh, wait... maybe I imagined that last part.... Grin

Yes seems like they are pretty close, but I do not know what a great set up compared to a bad set up feels like  Huh

As far as my son he did extremely well on the 400.  I think he will be a contender for the youth class.  I am sure all parents feel that way though  Grin

A good setup is whatever makes you feel comfortable and go fast. It's hard to tell on Sundays practice, because the track can be dry slick with dust, and no bike, regardless of setup will hook up.

Next time you guys come up to race or practice, I'll be happy to help you. I would have been out there this past Sunday, but I took my little boy to watch the SSQSA MX race up in Live Oak.

No the swing arm is stock.  As far as hooking up it seemed like EVERY corner my wheels would squeal.  By the end of the day I could NOT get it to turn.

It looks in that one picture (awesome picture by the way) like traction wasn't an issue, you're carrying that front wheel!
That must have been earlier in the day, since the track looks to still have a lot of moisture in it.
Wouldn't steer....Was it pushing out? Bicycling? What?
What kind of air pressure were you running in your tires?

Actually that was taken about 2pm.  It was pushing in the corners Mainly in the pic that you just mentioned.  That was probably the worst one.  The next worst one would be turn 4 but I was told that is always a bad turn on Sunday.  As far as bicycling I never felt that all day.  I was running 7 lbs in the front and rear.  Tried to go up to 9 in the fronts but did not have any air left in the tank  Embarrassed

Bob (actually trying to get in touch w/ Bob he gave me his info and my wife misplaced it.  He and his wife race a ltr450 if any one knows his screen name please pass it on) and Rambo helped my son and I set up our quads Sat night.  Bob broke out with the scales and I was so surprised how far we were off from there suggestions.  I truly appreciate their help  Thumbs Up  as it probably would of been a bad day with out their help.

Jayman, glad to hear your son is liking his new bike.  Are you gonna be at the banquet on Saturday?  If so your son and my boys can get out on the track together and get some practice in.

No we did not participate throughout the season so I do not think it would be appropriate.  My son saw your son out there on Saturday and said, "there's my competition".  You son was fast out there!

Actually I am having surgery on Friday for a kidney stone so even if I felt it appropriate I would not be able to attend  Cry

Actually we weren't there this past weekend.  Not sure who was there for the youth class.  Sorry you all won't be there, but I understand.  Hopefully next time we'll be able to make it and we can get the boys together.

Good luck with the surgery!

Oh yea, that would be Chad. Rick's son, he rides with our team and can fly on that Blaster!  My sons are Austin #7 Honda 400ex and Scott #14 Honda 400 ex.   I remember your son at Eastbay and T-Bowl, even though he was't set up he was still scootin!  He'll feel a lot better now that he's set up.

Well if you feel up to it, you're welcome to bring your family and hang out and meet some of the other racers. Their all great people (except that Dave Bohnstadt guy...). The food will be good and we can ride our little hearts out. LOL.

Rambo and Bob are pretty good at setup, so thats cool they were there to help. Bob is pretty fast on his Zuki, so I'm sure he can give you pointers on their particular set up needs. I think his screen name is BT243. I can PM you his # if you want.

I know you get on here though...
And I know all about his "trash talking" on the track. I think he and Snickers conspired against me since it's obvious the Polaris is so fast....
